Erin's POV
I tried everything to get Landon out of my apartment. Nothing was working, he was drunk so whatever I said went through one ear and our the other. So, I decided to just drink one beer and then we'll leave.
*Erin texts Jay*
Erin: Hey, I'm still at my apartment. It might be awhile, an old friend stop by.
Jay: okay? Just don't do anything stupid Erin. You need to get out of there. You are doing well. Do I need to come get you???
------------------------------
Jay's POV
It's been 10 minutes and no answer from Erin. Something was wrong and I had to find out. So I left work and headed straight to Erin's apartment. When I got there I ran all the way up to her apartment and busted down her door. I walked in and saw the same guy that Erin gave ice to when someone broke into her apartment sitting on the couch beside Erin. He was getting closer and closer to her. Trying to put his hand on her. While he was pushing him away. Before I could even think, I walked over there and picked him up and put him against the wall punching him one after another. The last thing I remember was Erin in between me and him.
E: Jay stop! You're gonna end up killing him!
*Erin gets in between Landon and Jay. Jay locks eyes with Erin and suddenly stops.*
J: Erin, I'm sorry. I just thought....
E: *smiles* Thank you but we don't need murder charges against us.
*Jay gets close to Landon*
J: If I ever see you close to her or near these apartments ever again, I will find you and you do not want that to happen.
*Jay pushes Landon out the door*
J: You okay? *talking to Erin*
E: Yea... I'm fine
J: Okay... You ready to go.
E: Yes... *grabs bag of clothes,as they walk out the door* but... I never made it to the store.
J: Its fine... Don't worry about it. I will go tomorrow.
E: No! I still want to go. And I want to get out, I can do this by myself.
J: okay. You can go tomorrow.
E: Thank you. And I'm gonna go to the gym before the store.
J: I go in the morning before work, so you can come with me if you would like.
E: Okay, that's a plan.
*The Next Day*
Erin's POV
After Jay and I went to the gym, I headed to the store. It felt so good being out in town. I felt like I was free! I haven't felt this happy since before Nadia's death. But just knowing someone always have your back, you feel invisible like no one can put anymore pain on you then you already have.

*Back at Jay's*
Erin's POV
Its been almost a month since I haven't been at work. And I feel like I took my time off and I need to get back. Its time to get back out. And I need to tell Jay.
*Jay walks in the door*
E: Hey
J: Hey, how was the store???
E: Its like any ole store. Crowded and loud as always.
J: Sounds Fun. Sorry I wasn't there to experience it with you. *Smiles*
E: I know... Nothing more peaceful then crowded rows and screaming babies.
J: Man, I miss the screaming babies. Thoughs are the best babies. *laughs*
E: I know. I know. We can go back if you want. I'm sure there's some still there. *smiles*
J: No, I'm good
E: Are you sure?
J: Most definitely! *smiles* Umm.... by the way I will be home late tomorrow. I will be going to the shooting range after work. So you don't have to wait up.
E: Umm.... Well, do you mind if I go?
J: ... But I didn't think you would be wanting to just hop back in like that.
E: Honestly, I didn't think I would want to either, but I can't stay down my whole life and wonder what I should I have done. Nadia was and still is my friend and she wouldn't want me to go back to my bad habits. And she wouldn't want me to just quit because of her death. She would want me out there helping this city. I'm doing this for Nadia.
J: Okay. *Grins* Well I get off at 4:30. So what if we meet there at 5.
E: Okay. I will be there.

*Shooting Range*
Erin's POV
When I walked in the front door, my heart melted. I alwayed loved the shooting range. But, I haven't been in here in forever. And when I walked in it was all the old memories that I had here all rushed back to me. Like my first time I was ever here I was with Voight. Then all the bets Jay and I made was here. And even the times I was here with Nadia, all the memories made me feel so good.
Jay's POV
I was kinda worried when Erin said she wanted to go to the shooting range, but when she said she was ready to get back to work everything started to piece together and that made me feel better.
When I saw Erin walk in, I started towards her.
J: Hey, are you ready?
E: The question is... Are you ready?
J: Ohhh really.... Well let's just see how good you really are coming back.
E: Okay.
*Done shooting for the day...*
E: So... How good am I really? *starts laughing*
J: I guess you're pretty good coming back in.
E: Ohhh... You guess. Let's be realistic Jay, I just beat you and you don't want to admit it.
J: I let you win. *As both walks out door*
E: Oh OK... Whatever makes you feel better. *Smirks*

Linstead-Season 3
RandomThis story takes place after the finale of season 2. I decided to create a fan fiction because season 3 won't air until fall. And these are my hopes for Linstead in season 3.
