Chapter 10: Fly

Frau dove in right before Hyuuga managed to slash Labrador's arms. The metallic scythe screeched from the impact of Hyuuga's sword. Hyuuga frowned as Frau attacked him, pushing him backwards and away from Labrador.

"Labrador, you might want to hurry it up!" Frau yelled just as he moved to the side to avoid Hyuuga.

"I'm a little preoccupied at the moment," Labrador answered coolly as he dodged the oncoming begleitors as well as Ayanami. He was cradling Selaena with both arms whilst trying to recite the spell for portals, not a very good combination.

Frau threw off Hyuuga, before blasting the rest of the men away from Labrador. Ayanami cursed and went towards him.

Kuroyori had hopped off Haruse's shoulder and sneakily made her way round Frau. She whipped out a bottle filled with strange looking substances.

Ayanami spotted her and paused, slowly backtracking back to Labrador. No way in hell was he going to be near that.

Frau, who had no clue what was going to happen, cackled as Ayanami retreated. Kuroyori slammed the bottle down to the ground and jumped away.

There was an explosion of extremely sweet choking stuff. Frau gagged repeatedly, yelling out curses. Ayanami snickered.

Labrador in the meantime was close to finishing the spell. Selaena was still unconscious from the drug that he had given her. Ayanami viciously swung his sword at him, but Labrador turned Selaena's body in his angle, knowing the Chief of Staff wouldn't hurt her no matter what.

Ayanami halted in his attack which gave Labrador the chance to send him flying off the other direction.

"Bastard! How dare you use her," Ayanami hissed.

Labrador didn't pay no attention to him, for he had recited the last line of the spell and a portal appeared just right beside him. Frau, who was stuck in the massive swirls of sweet-smelling thing, noticed the faint glow of the portal.

He leapt out of the swirls, heading towards the portal, "Go!" he yelled and waved at Labrador.

Ayanami panicked, looking for any of his begleitors that were close by. He spotted Hyuuga running towards the portal at his top speed. He prayed with all his might that Hyuuga would make it.

It was too late. Labrador had already jumped in, with Selaena in his arms. Frau jumped in the next second after them. Hyuuga didn't stop running, he withdrew his sword, aimed at the portal and threw it.

It was like slow-motion scene. Ayanami knew what Hyuuga was trying to do. The sword sailed through the air, reaching the closing portal.

The portal closed and disappeared, along with the sword.

Hyuuga cackled loudly.

Selaena's eyes flickered open, still heavy from the drug. She slowly turned her head, inspecting the room she was in. It was plain but big, and it seemed to only contain the bed she was lying on.

She heard grunts and she turned towards the source. With her blurry vision, she made out the outline of three men. And blood. A pool of blood.

Her vision cleared and she realised it was three that she saw at the lab the other day. What happened? Her memory was fuzzy.

She blinked repeatedly and tried to move but her body was still heavy.

Frau had appeared in the courtyard...and then?
