Chapter 22

Ayanami and Frau watched as Victoria/Selaena's body fell to the ground.

"Selaena!"

"Victoria!"

Both of them rushed forward at the same time.

"Get lost Zehel,"Ayanami uttered coldly.

"Why should I? This is Victoria's body!"

"Don't forget you are in enemy territory. It's a wonder I haven't called for my begleiters 'til now."

"I don't care this is her body go away."

"This is SELAENA'S body. You should be the one to leave!"

(Somewhere...)

Hyuuga and the rest of the begleiters stood there as the two men fight.

"My my my. They are so childish," Konatsu said.

"If you don't want to get roasted by Ayanami <3 take back your words Konatsuuu," Hyuuga uttered as he poked Konatsu in the tummy.

"What are we suppose to do?" Haruse asked.

"Just wait. He hasn't given his orders yet," Katsuragi replied him.

(Back to the two men)

Ayanami glared at Frau, who glared back.

Frau was baring his teeth like a tiger and Ayanami was frowning.

"Guys, stop that."

The men looked down.

Selaena sat up and sighed loudly.

"Thank god that was over. So exhausting..."

Ayanami opened his mouth but didn't say anything.

"What? Victoria's gone okay?"

Ayanami's mouth widened into a smile.

Frau stood there, feeling hurt as he watched the two of them embrace.

Victoria was gone. Sent to sleep eternally inside Selaena's mind.

"How did you come back?" Ayanami asked.

"Willpower. I struggled for you, you know?" Selaena grinned.

She turned to face Frau.

"I'm sorry, Frau. I know how much you want to be with her but I can't. I just got back with Ayanami after so long."

Frau took a deep breath and sighed.

Selaena closed her eyes and breathed slowly.

'Only a minute Victoria.' she said in her mind.

Victoria opened her eyes.

"Frau... I'm so sorry, I let her have it..."she said and ran over to hug Frau tightly.

Frau hugged her back. He rested his head on her shoulder and enjoyed her warmth one last time.

"I'm gonna miss you alot."

"I will too Frau," she uttered and let go and switched back to Selaena.

Ayanami walked over to her protectively.

"Hey, call a truce?" Frau asked.

"Just don't get in my way and you'll have your truce," Ayanami replied and grinned.

Selaena waved goodbye to Frau and then they separated their ways.

"Soooo are you hungry?" Selaena asked the Chief of Staff.

"Yes I am. Let's go have lunch in the canteen."

"Don't forget your begleiters. I noticed you guys don't really eat lunch either."

"Oops then."

"I have to force you guys to eat. Seriously..."

Ayanami grinned and pulled her close, his lips smashing into hers.

Selaena smiled.

"Aya-tan <3!"

"Oh shit!" Ayanami exclaimed and let Selaena go.

"He needs to know the meaning of privacy..." Selaena muttered.

And Hyuuga and the rest of the begleiters arrived.
