#12 ─ third wheel

"childe get ur ass back over here." you shouted to childe as he was doing his random shit again at the mall.

"ugh what do you want." childe pouted , not interested talking to you whatsoever 🙄🙄. "xiao is coming here , just letting you know." you informed , hoping childe wouldn't have minded.

"whoa whoa whoa. why so sudden ??" childe asked , now hes even more suspicious of xiao. "ugh stop asking so many questions , i just asked if he wanted to join us and he said ok." you scoffed to childe.

"show me ur dms with him right now." childe insisted , curious to what xiao has said to you. "wha─ heyy !!! give that back." you plead as you try to take your phone back from his grip.

"shut up y/n just wait , let me see ..." childe scoffed as he tried to find xiao's contact on your phone. when he finally found it , he red the chats for a bit before you finally snatched your phone back.

"ooooo maybe he jealous that you're here alone with me." childe snickered , xiao definitely likes you right ??

"stop with your bullshit childe. he just wants to come along , he barely wants to go out with me so this is a one time thing." you glared to childe , getting annoyed at his little theories.

"yeah , and that exactly proves my point , he wouldn't have agreed to come if you weren't here alone with me─" *beep* childe got cut off from the notification on your phone. you turned to check what the notification was , and turns out xiao already arrived at the mall.

"too bad , xiao is already here. hes near the lobby , lets go." you took childe by the wrist and dragged him to the lobby. and there was xiao , waiting for you as he was on his phone.

"xiaoooo !! were here , let's goo noww." you called xiao , taking his attention from his phone. he definitely noticed that you were still gripping childes by his wrist and glared at it.

soon enough though , you let go of childes wrist which definitely relived xiao a bit.

it didn't get any better though , now you were babbling to childe about whatever ... and xiao was just following you guys from behind like he was third wheeling or something 🧍.

he wishes he could join in , but because of his socially awkward personality he really doesn't know how :(

luckily you soon noticed that xiao wasn't beside you. you turned back to see a pouty xiao with his hands inside his pockets. he looks kinda cute like that , but you feel bad.

"lets eat im hungry af ughhhh." childe groaned as he glanced at you. you took the great opportunity to finally talk to xiao. "xiao , have you eaten yet ?" you looked back to question him.

"no." xiao replied bluntly and straight forward. i mean what else could be say anyways ??

"alright then , great ! where do you wanna eat xiao ?" you questioned xiao again , so he doesn't feel like a third wheel ( he still feels like a third wheel ).

"ooooh !!! lets eat mcdonaldss─"

"shut up childe , im not asking you."

"uhm .. i dont know ? you can choose .." xiao replied nervously , he mainly didnt wanna choose incase you didn't like the restaurant he was hoping for.

"see !! he doesn't even know , lets eat mcdonalds!" childe added excitedly.

"xiao , are you okay with eating mcdonalds?" you asked , hoping hes also comfortable with it. in return , xiao simply nodded. i mean who doesn't like mcdonalds anyways ??

"alright then , mcdonalds it is."

after the three of you searched like the entire mall for mcdonalds , you guys finally found it. you entered the restaurant and asked the boys what they want to order. soon after , you waited in the que and the boys went to find some seats.

"soooo xiao ... what're you doing here all of a sudden .." childe asked immediately after the both of them sat down , trying to avoid the awkward silence.

"y/n invited me ..?" xiao replied unbothered. childe is probably gonna go suspect xiao again for liking you , xiao thought.

"yeah , but are you sure that was the only reason?" childe asks again , needing real answers from him. but xiao just sighed and shot a death glare at him which definitely made childe go quite after that.

"hey guys im back! what were you guys talking about ?" you inquired , coming back with all the foods and drinks.

"oh yeah we were talking about why xia-" childe said before getting another death glare by xiao , so you know he kinda had to shut up before even finishing his sentence.

"nevermind." childe added before taking his food and avoiding any eye contact with xiao as much as possible.

you got kinda confused but decided to ignore it and start enjoying your meal instead. the whole time you guys were eating it was very awkward and quite , which definitely made feel weird in some way.

but it was probably cause xiao was still giving childe a death stare , which you really dont know why hes doing that.
