Chapter 4

It was a hectic day for nandini both mentally and physically. The whole day she strangled with the thoughts which she never wanted to come in her mind at first place .She wasn't able to cope with her feelings and thoughts . Why was she even thinking about him..about that girl...their relation ..what not agghhhh!!! With all these messed up things in her mind nandini laid on bed on her stomach hiding her face in the pillow to avoid her so called overthinking but it wasn't helping anyhow .While she was laying battling with her own mind her phone beeped with a message and nandini lifted her head and saw it was from an unknown number so she decided to ignore when in next second another message came and she immediately sat on her bed holding the phone in her hand and stared the screen without blinking which has message that read

'Hey!'
'Its Manik here'

Nandini was a bit taken aback..yes he has taken his number but she supposed that it was for some school work only as told by him but she didn't expected to have any conversation with him and he messaging her like this was something she didn't seem coming her way. However after a good staring session she finally came back to her senses and decided to reply trying to be as formal as she can

'Nandini: Hello sir!'

Manik: Well.. up at this time! Didn't slept yet?

On reading it nandini bit her tongue as she saw the time it was almost 1 am but she didn't even realised it in her deep thinking session.However ignoring it she replied

'Nandini: Didn't feel like sleeping sir' .

Nandini wanted to ask the same question to him as he was also up at this time but then scolded herself for thinking like that .

Manik: ' oh...anyways i messaged you to tell you that tomorrow i will be on leave ..'

Nandini's face fell unknowingly...her heart so wanted to ask why was he not coming but then her mind went against it saying she has no right to ask it and she shrugged off that thought when his next message came

'Manik: so i am sending you an assignment just take a print of it and solve it in my lecture
Okay?'

Nandini mentally slapped herself for thinking that he had messaged her casually and not for work ..as now she got to know the reason of his message and replied him plainly

'Nandini: Okay Sir'

'Manik: Hmm'

Nandini was about to keep the phone on seeing his reply as she thought that was the end of the conversation when her phone beeped with another message from him

'Manik: Make sure you sleep now.. its too late ..good night💤'

Nandini smiled on reading it and wrote what her heart wanted to at that moment

'Nandini: you too sir..good night'

With this she kept the phone on her side table and kept smiling thinking about the last part of the conversation when again her mind drifted to the reason of his leave tomorrow.The smile on her face faded and she murmered to herself

Nandini: huh mujhe kya ..why am i thinking this much...jana hoga date pe with his girlfriend..oh god nandini why are u even thinking this just sleep ..

With all these thoughts she finally drifted to sleep.

Next Day

Nandini woke up on time and reached school. She wasn't in mood to attend any class today but she has to as exams were nearing and she couldn't take a risk of skipping classes at this time. She attended all the classes before lunch break and had her lunch .Now it was her maths class so she moved with her notebook and assignment towards the AV room .She didn't went to staffroom as she knew he didn't came today . On reaching she settled on a bench and started to go through the assignment when the door of the room opened and sight she saw was surprising for her .There was Manik opening the door and coming inside. On seeing him entering she stood up from her place.She wanted to speak something but words didn't came out of her mouth.Manik came inside and seeing her standing still he said
