I Fell for my professor

Chapter 9

Nandini's day was going quite well until her physics professor decided to extend the extra class till evening .Nandini was so exhausted after attending two hour long lecture of physics..all thanks to his physics professor Like how can someone study physics for too long ..its a mental torture for the students for god sake but somehow the lecture came to an end around 5pm and nandini thanked all the gods for ending the lecture before she actually faints. After the exhausting class it was time to go home and nandini moved towards the parking to reach her scooty . But it seemed the tiring lecture was not enough for the day that her scooty too betrayed her which made her more frustrated. She tried to start it several times but it was of no use . While she was struggling with her scooty a familiar voice from behind startled her . She turned around to see manik standing there .

Manik: Nandini everything alright? Any problem?

Nandini: umm no ..i mean yeah my scooty isn't getting started .

Manik: ohh..no problem you come with me i will drop you and i ll send a mechanic he will drop your scooty after repairing it ..

Nandini: its okay sir u don't need to worry i ll take a cab and go home..

Manik: oh come on kiddo don't be so formal ..you are coming with me and its final ..

Nandini: But sir..

Manik: Come fast ..i m waiting

Manik said while moving towards his car ignoring any plea of hers . Nandini then decided to go with him because he was too stubborn to let her go so she followed him to the car. They both settled in the car and manik drove in silence.
After some time manik spoke breaking the silence

Manik: you look tired ..

Manik said taking a glance at her and then concentrating back on the road .He heard nandini huffing and turned to look at her who was now leaning back at the seat with her eyes closed..

Nandini: well i guess side effects of studying physics for two hours ..
She spoke with her eyes still closed.

Manik chuckled at her comment and said

Manik: yeah i can see that ..waise I forgot to ask how was your biology exam today..

Nandini immediately sat straight turning towards him with a smile on her face and all her tiredness seem to be vanished in a fraction of seconds. Manik was surprised at sudden change of her behaviour and waited for her to speak..

Nandini: it was amazing..like the best biology exam ever i have never been this confident about any exam and its all because of-

Before nandini could speak further manik interrupted her

Manik: You..yes its all because of you and no one else got it

Nandini's smile got widened on hearing him that how he knew what she was about to say and diverted the whole attention from him to her.
On seeing her smiling at him manik raised his brow and asked

Manik: what?

Nandini shook her head and turned her face in front saying

Nandini: Nothing

They drove for few minutes when nandini saw an ice cream vendor and her eyes glistened seeing it which didn't got unnoticed by manik and he said

Manik: Wanna have it?

Nandini umm..no i m fine

Manik: okay no problem if you don't want to have it but I will definitely eat it because I love ice cream u know..

Manik said controlling his smile and looked at her from the corner of his eyes..
Nandini cursed herself for rejecting the offer but what was her fault .. She thought he would convince her to eat but here he didn't even asked her twice..huh!
Meanwhile manik parked the car in a corner and was about to get out of the car when nandini called him..
