After the torture session with the shadow and Rae, it felt like she couldn't breathe, she tried closing both of her eyes, but she couldn't. She cried softly to herself, she didn't know what to do now, but to just lay on the bed. The pain in the inside hurts her more than it does on the outside. She sighs and looks at her roof, letting her tears fall from her eyes to the sheets.
Ruby-Rae: Why is this happening to me...?
Rae couldn't even imagine what else could be happening right now. She cried until she couldn't cry anymore, there was only silence in the room until Amethyst came back due to her being worried about her ruby lion.
Amethyst Littlewind: Ruby..? Are you still here..?
Rae's eyes were shot open as she heard Amethyst's voice outside of her door. She quickly got off her bed but realized that if Littlewind saw her scars, she will find out what happened to her. Which is exactly what she does not want to happen. She ran through her closet to find a shirt that covered her body. About 15 seconds later, she found a shirt that was Ruby and oversized. She put on the shirt and opened her room door to look at the pink phoenix.
Amethyst Littlewind: Oh thank crystal instar you're still here, Ruby. I was worried that you would be out of the base and in the forest.
It didn't take long for Amethyst to notice Ruby was wearing an oversized shirt and got suspicious about this.
Amethyst Littlewind: Ruby, what's with the oversized shirt?
Ruby's eyes opened as she saw a suspicious look in Amethyst's eyes, she got worried about how she was going to say it. Silence fills the room for what feels like hours. Amethyst got even more suspicious about Ruby's silent treatment, they heard the other guardians coming back, and they were tired as hell. While Ruby was at the base, Ember and Rokisky had to do Ruby's work which requires strength.
Ember Rose: Whew!! I am T.I.R.E.D!!
Flower Rokisky: Same here!! Man, it would be easier if Ruby was with us. But she needs to heal and recover.
Amethyst Littlewind: Oh, hey guys!
Ruby-Rae: Hi guys.
Both Ember Rose and Flower Rokisky: Hey Amethyst. Hey Ruby.
Amethyst Littlewind: What happened to you guys?
Ember Rose: 3 words. Tired as hell.
Ruby takes a sigh and she looks at her exhausted guardians with guilt in her eyes. She wants to be there to help out, but she needs to heal.
