*Alison*
I closed my eyes as Mari worked magic on my hair, I can do make up just fine, but when it comes to hair I am an amateur compared to Mari's skills.
I rolled my eyes around slowly, letting the contacts settle on my iris. My vision came into focus as I opened my eyes, looking at our reflections in the mirror, observing Mari do the finishing touches to my hair.
"Oh my god Mari, you're a miracle worker!" I gushed, as I turned my head slightly to see the work if Mari.
"Oh stop" she smiled, clearly enjoying the compliments I was throwing at her.
"I'll do my make up and get dressed, there's a box labeled console games, knock yourself out"
Mari grinned, and dashed down the stairs after she gave my hair another dose of hairspray. Any more and we'd affect the ozone layer.
Mari and I got home at about three o'clock, the time the real postman came with my belongings. We spent our time packing away my things as I told stories about the little treasures I kept over the years.
"This" I said, holding up a large stuffed Pikachu which Mari looked at in awe "Is a present from my brother a whole back, he missed my birthday and sent me this as an apology"
I finished reminiscing as I applied the final touches to my make up, I grabbed a small black shoulder strap bag I put on the sink earlier and stuffed it with the essentials, phone, puffer, other various things, and tic tacs. Hey, you can never go wrong with tic tacs.
I heard the door bell ring, and I grinned excitedly as I walked out of the bathroom.
And like a corny chick flick, I walked down the stairs to meet my date.
*Sohinki*
I gulped nervously a I loosened the choke hold my tie was giving me, I rang the door bell and Mari opened it instantly. Clutching a large stuffed Pikachu, she nodded approvingly at my outfit. I managed to pick out an off white shirt with a complimentary black tie, and some nice looking jeans.
"Mi gusta" she said, and let me in.
"Nervous?" She asked, and I nodded.
"That's an understatement" I commented, and I looked up the staircase. I saw a beautiful girl named Alison take my breath away, as she slowly walked down the stairs.
Her hair tumbled down her shoulders in a waterfall of brown curls, she has only the bare minimum of make up on, only enough to highlight her big chocolate brown eyes.
She doesn't need make up to look beautiful in my eyes.
Her dress hugged her figure perfectly, her attire was perfect for her.
I felt so inadequate standing in front of such beauty.
She smiled shyly at me, and I realised I was staring.
"You look beautiful" I whisper and she blushed, I see Mari in my peripheral vision trying to blend into the wall. Neither Alison nor I cared at the moment, she could've been juggling and our attention will still be in each other.
I took Alison's hand and led her to my car, Mari exited with us and gave Alison the keys to the house. Winking at her before jumping into her car and driving off, leaving us alone.
Alison looked at me, with the same excited and nervous grin as mine.
"So, where to Matt?" She asked as I unlocked the car, we climbed into the car with my smile somehow getting bigger.
"That's for me to know, and you to find out" I say evasively, and chuckle as she jokingly glared at me.
Anthony sent me the directions and the name we were reserved under before I came to Alison's house. As we drove in a comfortable silence, I saw Alison's hands clutched together tightly in nervous anxiety. Keeping my eyes on the road, I placed my right hand over her hands.
