Period

I never thought what it would be like to have my period in the hotel.

It came without me noticing it. One night I woke up alone in our bed and stained clothes on me. I just hoped Drac didn't notice. Although I once read - when I studied to be a monster hunter - that a vampire could smell blood from miles away.

I cleaned my clothes and I put on some pads I didn't know how to hide the smell so I hoped Drac would react fine. Besides I knew vampires didn't suck on human blood so it kinda soothed my nerves.

— Hello Johnny!

— Hey, Ericka! How's your night going on?

— Just hanging in there I guess...

— Did something bad happen? — His eyes looked worried and patient.

— No no no, everything's fine, thanks for caring Jhonny I need to get to work, today I got the reception desk.

My 'fret over the situation' started showing and I couldn't get myself to focus. At the same time the cramps weren't helping. My sweat became visible when Drac strode towards me with a grin and snacks in hand.

— Hello darling, I'm sorry I didn't wake up next to you there was an emergency call and...

— Don't worry, sweetie — I caressed his face with my fingers and kissed him quick on the cheek — But the next time you wake me up — I said severally.

— As you command, Captain. To show my regrets I brought you this — He lifts the plate as if it was the most yearned treasure by everyone.

I took it and thanked him for his gesture. We were eating for a few minutes until he frowned and gave me a poker face.

— Ericka, I can't avoid smelling you... Th- the smell bursts into my nostrils it's inevitable — He stuttered a bit, like it was actually hard for him to stop holding himself.

— It's my period. It comes once a month I thought it wouldn't be a problem-

— And it is not. You bleed out of nowhere? That is creepy, humans are extraordinary — Drac comments and I feel rather calmer than I was.

— It only happens to women as it's hormonal. I can teach you about it someday — I felt more confident as I was speaking. It was like talking to a curious child.

— Well, you are bleeding down there and I am a vampire, do you know what it means?

I took the hint so darn quickly. It definitely wasn't like talking to a curious child. There were so many things I had to teach him and so did he.

I just smiled and kissed him forcefully.
