Chapter 9
•Rose Hathaway•
"You've got to be fucking kidding me." I huff under my breath. Oh that old woman thinks she's fucking slick telling Dimitri to go with us.
"Thanks a lot Roza for agreeing to take them to the lake for us. We really appreciate this. Plus the kids are gonna miss their favorite tetya Roza when you guys go on vacation in two weeks. Don't huff and pout Vika! You're no better than the children sometimes. You know the kids also love you, but they see Roza the least so they cling to her when they do see her." Lina says with a smile before rolling her eyes at Vika's huffy face.
I snicker and roll my eyes at Vika. "It's not a problem, Lina. You and Sonya deserve a break. And I don't mind helping you out so you can get that break. Now please go do something fun while we have the kids for the afternoon." I press a kiss to her cheek before scooping Katya into my arms and tickling her. She giggles and burrows into my arms. She waved one last time before heading back inside the house.
We start the short walk to the lake that's a few blocks over from the Belikova's. "Tetya Roza when can we go to the zoo again?" Zoya questions pulling on my belt loop lightly. "I liked looking at the big kitties with you."
"Hmm, I'm not sure when we can go to the zoo again, milaya devushka. But I promise that as soon as it's possible I will make sure that we can go again. Maybe me, you and Katya can have a girls day at the zoo the next time. How does that sound?" I hum, smoothing her hair back.
"Really Tetya Roza? You mean it?" Zoya squeals happily.
"Oh course milaya devushka. You know I always make promises I intend to keep." I smile and kiss her cheek.
"Tetya Roza can I hold Eris' leash please?" Paul asks, throwing my puppy dog eyes back at me.
"You cheeky little thief. How could you use my own puppy dog eyes on me? This is the highest betrayal. And from my own dorogoy plemyannik. Of course Paul, be careful with her because she's very strong. And stubborn." I laugh when I see Paul stick his tongue out at me.
"Are you calling me weak Tetya Roza? The betrayal! The audacity! The nerve of you!" Paul howls playfully and pretends to cry.
"I'll show you a real betrayal Paul!" I grin and chase him while he shrieks playfully. Eris barks happily and jumps on Paul's back. I then yank them both up and haul them into my arms and carry them. I blow a raspberry on their necks as they shriek, and bark in Eris' case, happily.
"Tetya Roza can I ride on your back?" Katya pouts tugging lightly on my belt loops.
"Alright milaya devushka, let me put Eris and your troublemaker brother down first. Then I'll let you climb up on my back." I chuckle. I let them down and then bend down. "Hop on milaya devushka." She climbs on my back and i hold on to her tight before i stand back up and we continue walking.

"Tetya Roza no... Don't let Paul get me." Zoya squeals as Paul chases her around Roza's feet. Oh my god she's so great with the children. She'd be such an amazing mother. It's not fair. Just seeing her interact with them makes me fall in love with Roza all over again. I love how she's both strong and soft around them. "Stop staring. She's going to notice you staring at her eventually. That is if she hasn't already." Vika scoffs.
"Vika! Hush before she hears you. I'm not trying to upset Roza by watching her with them. She's just amazing with them." I sigh smiling when Rose laughs and tosses Paul over her shoulder and holds him there while Eris licks his face and he screams happily. " It just makes me love her even more."
"Oh eww Dimka. If you could only see yourself. If you were a cartoon character you'd have heart eyes right now. Like you always do when you look at Roza." Vika snickers looking at me.
"Like you don't also look at your girlfriend the same way Vika." I snort and swipe sand at her.
"Fair. But when you have a stunning girlfriend like I do it's impossible not to stare at her." Vika laughs.
"Then you understand why I have a hard time looking away from Roza. She's the love of my life and so stunning." I smile. Vika laughs and then swipes sand back at me.
"Okay you utter sap. Go round up the troublemakers for lunch." Vika instructs standing up. I sigh and stand up. Little sisters, always so bossy.
