*Third person POV*

Ash watched as the path he entered from, and the only path there with which to go out, getting burned and flooded with the blaze. "Oh, no!", he said to himself. The Pokemon present there exchanged scared glances.

"Hey, why weren't you all extinguishing the flames when they started spreading? It would have made it a lot easier to escape..", he asked, flinching as the fire touched a little part of his skin. The Pokemon looked down in shame, but Ash realized what the problem was.

The Pokemon were scared. And why so? Because they were left unsupervised. There was no trusted human being with them when it all went down. They weren't aware of what to do! "None of you happen to be a part of the Pokemon Fire Fighting Team, right?", Ash asked, remembering that his Squirtle is a part of that team. Everyone shook their heads, disagreeing. "That's the thing. A member of the Pokemon Fire Fighting Team would KNOW how to fight fire without needing human assistance. You're all regular Pokemon, aren't you?", he asked again, receiving the answer as a 'yes'. "Hm. It's fine. I'm here now. We can do this! Water Types, can you use your moves to extinguish this fire?", he told the three Water Type Pokemon.

Vaporeon used Bubble Beam, meanwhile Wartortle and Dewott used Water Gun. "Perfect!", Ash exclaimed. "Now, for the source of the fire... If I cannot stop the source, then this fire would never stop spreading..", he wondered out loud, and looked out through a medium-sized glass window. "Looking helplessly out the emergency exit won't do any good.... Wait, EMERGENCY EXIT! That's it!", an idea clicked in the boy's mind.

Meanwhile, with Iris, Cilan and the others at the front of the plane...

"I told you to hold him back!", the air hostess yelled at Cilan, who clutched Pikachu in his arms. The Electric Pokemon was dead worried about his trainer. Pikachu was well aware that Ash was courageous and daring. But that doesn't mean he was a superhuman! He heard as the others got scolded by the air hostess. "I-I tried to stop him but before I could, he ran away!", Cilan defended. "Cilan's right, Miss. We all tried. But Ash didn't listen to any of us. He did what he wanted to..", Iris helped. The air hostess groaned in annoyance.

Suddenly, without warning, Pikachu pushed Cilan away and jumped off of his grasp. "Pikachu! What is it?", Iris asked. "Pika-Chu, Pika Pi!", Pikachu said, though no one could understand him. It was only Ash who had the talent to understand his Pokemon. Pikachu yelled at the others, and began running to where Ash previously ran: To the back of the plane, in a desire to save his best friend.

With Ash...

"Man, only if I could open this fire extinguisher. This pin is so stubborn..", he said, his voice clearly displaying vexation. The Water Pokemon were slowly growing tired of using their moves repeatedly, while the Ground Type proved to be no help for the moment. "PIKA PI!", a familiar voice caught Ash's ears. "Pikachu?", he called. The mouse Pokemon ran through the flames, dodging flawlessly and jumped straight into the arms of his beloved trainer.

"Pikachu! I told you to stay with Cilan! Why are you here?!", Ash began to scold. "Chu..", Pikachu's grip to Ash's shirt tightened, signifying worry for him. "I was going to be fine, Pikachu...", Ash assured. "Pika-Chu? Pika, Pika!", Pikachu pointed at the burn marks on Ash's arms and face. "These are nothing. Right now, we need to do something. Pikachu, can you use Iron Tail to somehow remove this pin so that I can use this to extinguish the fire?", the trainer asked. "Pika!", Pikachu agreed and used a powerful Iron Tail. The pin didn't quite break, but it became loose enough to be easily pulled out, which is what Ash did right after.

"Alright! Now, use the same move on this handle so that I can open this jammed emergency exit.", Ash commanded. Pikachu, at first, was about to obey, but stopped. "What happened?", Ash asked. "Pika...Chu?", he pointed to the exit. "You mean, you're asking me if I'll go out through there? Of course!", Ash answered. "Pika, Pikachu!", Pikachu said back. He was worried about Ash's safety. "I'll be okay, Pikachu. I promise. Now, use Iron Tail!", he commanded again, and this time Pikachu obeyed.
