A Trip to Kanto - A Pokemon Story

Chapter 10: How Did It Begin?

*Third person POV*

It was like a big surprise storm hitting them all at once. Ash had a freaking boyfriend? He never told Brock and Misty? He was not straight? Does his mother know? And how did they fall in love? In fact, ASH CAN ACTUALLY BE ROMANTIC?? These questions flooded the minds of the Pallet visitors.

"This is all so sudden.. I never could've guessed Ash would actually have enough sense to have a significant other..", Iris quietly commented. Ash and Goh walked hand in hand, and Ash cleared his throat a little. "I can just sense you people's confusion and shock.", Ash said, without looking at his friends. "Well, you never told us about him!", complained Misty. "I was nervous, okay? I didn't have enough courage to come out to you all!", Ash defended his opinion. Misty did not talk back, because his reason was valid. 

Soon, they reached an open area and sat down on the soft, green grass. "Now, mind giving a proper introduction of yourself, dear?", Ash asked Goh. "Sure! My name is Goh. I'm a Pokemon trainer from the Galar region. I am 15 years old, just like Ash. My parents are explorers. They travel to new places every now and then, while I stay here and help Professor Oak, Ash's mother, and even sometimes just meet new Pokemon.", Goh gave a short and brief introduction of himself and looked at Ash with a face that said, 'was that good enough?' to which Ash smiled and nodded.

"Goh, I want you to meet my friends from Kanto, Sinnoh and Unova. They're here....to pay a visit to Pallet Town.", Ash said, but Goh could notice a bit of tension in Ash's wavering voice. 

"This is Iris and her partner, Axew! She's set off to become a Dragon Master someday."
"It's a pleasure to meet you!", Iris said.

"On the contrary, this is Georgia. Iris' rival, and someone who wants to become a... Dragon buster. She for some reason really despises Dragon types.."
"I just side with Ice types on this...", Georgia replied smugly.

"Then, we have another good friend of mine, Cilan! He's one of the Gym Leaders of the Striaton City Gym. He's also a top class connoisseur."
"Great to be able to meet someone who's been able to move someone as dense as Ash! I could have never guessed the skilled raven-head to be moved by some sweet romantic love!", Cilan went all 'connoisseur-y vibe' and stated the phrase gracefully.

"Then there's Burgundy! She's a... a wanna-be S-class connoisseuse who's still working towards her goal. She's also Cilan's rival."
"HEY WAS THAT AN INSULT?", Burgundy yelled at Ash. 
"N-No- I was just giving a short intro of yours-", Ash replied with a scared grin, as a fuming Burgundy gave Cilan a death stare.

"Then this is Stephan! He's a chill dude, though he is awesome at battling!",
"You pronounced it wrong again... But anyways, nice to see you, Goh!", Stephan said.

"This is Bianca. She's...super clumsy, to say the least. Not a meetup of ours goes by without her pushing me into a fountain or a lake at some point!"
"I just get very excited while meeting friends!", Bianca said with a nonchalant, yet a shy smile.

"This is Cameron, and his partner, Riolu. These two have a bond that astonishes me. And to be very honest, Cameron adds the comedy in my days! He's such a fun guy to be around!"
"It's great to know you, Goh! Any friend of Ash is a friend of mine!", Cameron said enthusiastically, as Riolu supported the statement by comically punching the air, making Goh giggle.

"This is Dawn. She's from Twinleaf Town in the Sinnoh region, and that blue Pokemon you see there is her partner, Piplup. She's one of my very best friends, someone who'd shown me both care and comedy. Dawn made travelling through Sinnoh so much fun! She's also a great Pokemon Coordinator!"
"I'm pleased to meet you! Good to know you're making Ash happy by being his romantic partner!", Dawn let out a hand for Goh to shake, which he accepted gladly.
