Chapter 5 - Divided

HAEUM'S POV :

I don't know why, but ever since my older sister confessed to Sana they've been really distant from each other. Is that really the end? My sister loves that girl. There's no way. They can't just leave each other like that. She's been staying in her room for 3 weeks, only comes out to go to Nayeonnie's house. I'm worried. She never eats, drinks, and says she's fine. Unnie, if you hear this, please know that I'm here for you. I love you sis.

"Hey, Unnie? Are you awake?" I say, knocking on her door. It's 6:25. We're going to be late, but I don't care. I Need her to come with me to school and work things out.

She opens the door.

She looked so pale, so skinny. She was barely recognizable. She looked like she was crying for days.

"Hey Haeum. Here, I'll make you some tea. So both of us can just get to school."

She didn't want to be there. I knew it. I just wish I could do something. What happened between her and Sana? Why are they now so broken? Nayeon won't tell me, Momo is confused too. Sana is non-existent at this point, Mina and Chaeyoung usually do their own thing...and Dahyun & Tzuyu Never have time to answer my calls.

We both start to walk to school. "Unnie, please tell me. If you're not okay, you can miss school again and I can get your assignments. Please, I'm worried."

"No, I need to go. I've missed out weeks of school, my friends and my principal have gotten worried."

She let out a big sigh. She was both physically and mentally tired. God, I hate to see her like this.

"Bye Unnie. I'll see you after school, okay?"

"Okay, have a nice day at school."

"You too...I love you."

She looked surprised that I said that. I almost never tell her that. We have a love-hare relationship, but if I had to choose, we're more loving that hateful.

"I love you too." She softly kissed my forehead. Even if she smiled, I new she forced it.

"Yo, yo, yo! Haeum in the house!" I turned to my friend, Yuki. She's Japanese-American mixed. It's crazy how she help me fluently speak English in only 2 weeks.

"What's wrong? Not feeling it huh...how's Jihyo?"

"Not good. She's gotten worse Yu."

"How bad?"

"Real bad." I took a sip of water. "She hasn't eaten in weeks, she barely sleeps, and in the night, I can hear her crying through the walls. I don't know what to do, Yu. Please..."

"Hey, it'll be okay." Yuki kissed my cheek, and held me closer to her. "She'll be okay, I promise."

I love it when she hugs me. She gives the best hugs. I just get caught off guard when she kisses me. I know she doesn't like me, but it still feels nice.

"Can you help me?"

"Of course Haeum. I'll help you get your sister back."

SANA'S POV:

It's now 9:45 a.m . Ever since Jeongmin asked me out, Jihyo hasn't spoke to me. I talked to her sister, but she doesn't answer. I'm worried. It's all my fault. I never get my way, I just wanted to be with Jihyo..

"Hey, Sha? You awake?"

"Huh...." I woke up, apparently I was asleep. It's now the end of school.

"Come on, let's go get some food together."

"Jeongmin..sorry I can't. My emotions connected to Jihyo just cant take it Right now."

"Oh..okay, I understand. Look, I'm sorry for hurting your relationship. Can we just stay as friends for now?"

"Sure, friends."

"Alright, I'll see you tomorrow?"

"Yeah, tomorrow."

"See you later."

What did I do wrong? I didn't mean to hurt her..I just wanted to be with her. Now she won't even hear me out. I cant bare it. I'll just leave this school and go back to Japan, it's the best for me.

As I walk out...

*thud*

"You alright there?.."

I look up.

"...Jihyo?"
