Chapter 011

"Why are they here?" We hear Everett whisper behind us clearings talking about us.

"I don't know I don't care?" Blake simply responds clearly not interested

"They were at the hospital" Everett continues while his voice holds a great amount of panic as his breathe is short and rushed

"Yes now shut up" Blake said trying to not engage in the conversation

"Wha-what where they doing there" Everett continues his anxiety growing

"Everett you need to shut up. Stop talking stop moving stop everything" Blake says but before she could say anything else Harlan spins around and says to then "keep your fucking mouth shut" before the same annoying sound of officer asshole banging on the metal followed by another "no talking".

"First of all" I start as I slap the back of Harlan's head "don't be mean" I say "and second of all, Jason shut the fuck up your voice is making me want to rip my hair out" I finish as I go back to my previous actions of tracing my finger in a triangle on my thigh trying to calm myself down.

"It's still the full moon" Everett continues

"What's his problem anyway" Harlan whispers to both me and Luna directing his question towards Everett.

"I think he's got anxiety" Luna answers quietly

"He's got something" Harlan says the same time i answer his previous question "He's definitely got anxiety" I say shakily as his emotions are overwhelming me to the point where my control is slipping.

Harlan noticing my struggle slips his hand into mine and bring me into his side as he engulfs me in a warm comforting hug.

"What if he's still trying to kill us, but they killed Connor and he was bitten too" Everette still continues his voice getting more shaking as he's breathes become more uneven.

"Who's Connor?" Luna asks as she turns to face Everett

The sound of metal being hit makes all of us jump. As officer asshole says "whispering is talking"

"I'm sorry but are we under arrest?" Luna asks as Harlan looks at her like she's lost her mind "don't say that" Harlan says completely dumbfounded she just asked that.

"Why not" she whispered in confusion "Because then they will arrest us" he answered.

"It's a few questions guys, where just trying to clear up timelines and stuff like that. Nobody's getting arrested" blondie in the front said as she turned around to face us.

"Then how about you call out parents?" Asked Blake as she spoke directly to blondie.

"Oh Jesus my parents" Everett panics as his flood of overwhelming emotions wash over in like a tsunami as I start to feel suffocated.

"Once we get there how about you call them yourselves" blondie replies while noticing Everett's panic

"My parents are gonna kill me" Everett panics even more

I tune out everything else and I whisper to my self "alpha, beta, omega" and take a deep breathe in "alpha, beta, omega" and take another deep breathe in. I continue until I feel completely calmed down, what I don't notice is Luna and Harlan watch with curiosity.

"What is she saying?" Whispered Luna so quiet only Harlan could hear

"Alpha, beta, omega" he whispered back making sure it was quite enough that the cops in the front couldn't hear a thing.

The sound of banging against metal broke the silence made between them as they hear officer asshole "we're here"

The sounds of fire engines filled my ears as I pay attention to my surroundings. The car stops and we all start to get out of the car, my hand gripping tightly onto Harlan's.

We slowly follow blondie as we all take in the people who are affected by the fires. I can see Harlan trying to listen in to conversations so I make sure to squeeze his hand to let him know I'm here. He squeezes back as we enter the inner part of the building while we climb up the stairs.

We hear officer asshole say "Follow me" before he starts walking again.

"Miller" he calls out

"My days just getting better and better" I sigh as I come face to face to someone worse then Peter Hale himself. 

Miller comes over and smirks when he sees me, he looks back at Jason only to see him nodding letting him know that it's really me.

We follow blondie towards the other side of the room as I can sense miller right behind me. Harlan notices my discomfort and squeezes my hand while looking down at me, I squeeze back but more closer to him.

"Keep moving" I hear miller say as he shoves me forwards.

"Hey you got a problem with us?" Harlan says as he say the whole thing, even being pushed himself with me hanging off of him.

"Just her" he says looking directly at me. While he forced me in a chair, "good to see you little hale" he says while smirking

I look up at him with my own smirk, "he's gonna kill you when he sees you" I start laughing. "What the fuck are you talking about" he harshly asked getting all up in my face.

"Now why would I tell you, it would ruin the surprise" I reply with my own smirk. He scoffs before walking down the hall.

I see Harlan looking confused at the conversation, "I'll explain later ok" I say while giving him a quick kiss. But he doesn't let me stop at that as he weaves his hand through my hair and pulls me in for a deeper kiss, one that leaves my head spinning. He tries to slip his tongue into my mouth but I playfully deny access, until he softly bites on my lip causing me to gasp as he uses this opportunity to slip his tongue in. He gently nips and then kisses my lips and he takes my mind off of everything that's happened within the last 24 hours. I give him one last kiss before I feel my phone vibrate in my pocket, as I look down a smile instantly spreads across my face as I see the notification that lets me know when my Uber eats has arrived. I get up to meet him at the top of the stairs as I get weird looks from Harlan, Luna, Blake and Everett not to mention some strangers in the room who went to see where I was going in such a hurry. "I have never seen her run before" Everett mutters while watching Aurora run to the stairs. "Neither have I" Harlan says while also watching his mate run.
