Chapter Seven

Charlotte's Pov

I froze on my place. How could I let it slip out.
Engfa started coming more and closer to me, demanding an answer, but how would I tell her that I stole her diary.
"Do you remember?" She asked again, her voice was calm but I could feel that she was anything than calm.

"I just said it, I don't know why, but I did," I said, hoping she wouldn't find out.
"You said it just like that ?" She questioned.
"Yes, I just said it without even thinking about it. It just came to my mind, and I said it," I tried to answer.
"Ohh," she said, stepping away.
I could see that her eyes were filled with tears.
"Did I hurt you, by any way that I don't know?" I asked her.
She looked up with tears flowing down her cheeks.
She said nothing just pulled me in for a hug. I hugged her back, not knowing what else to do.
We pulled away when we heard people coming.
She gave me a weak smile and went back to the changing room.
Tina and Chompu came to me and took me to the changing room.
We were in two different rooms as they were supposed to dress in suits while we were wearing dresses.

Soon, everyone was ready. The rival school had already performed, and now it was our time.
We were on either side of the stage, and the music started.
We started going on the stage. I saw her.
For the first time in formal wear.
She was looking like a royal.
Her poster, her body, and the suit really complimented each other.
My nervousness faded the moment I saw her.
She also was looking at me. There was a big visible smile on her face. Her eyes trailed my dress, and I felt good, knowing she was looking at me.
I was looking at her, she was looking at me and without even knowing we both were in front of each other.
She knelt and forwarded her hands.
I took it gladly and suddenly she kissed it.
It was out of the blue. It was unexpected. I was shocked as well as happy, but I had to keep a straight face.
While we were dancing, I looked at her, and she gave me an apologetic smile.
I didn't have any complaints about it, though.
We stared at each other's eyes all the time. I felt very comfortable with her.
My body was obeying Engfa's each and every moment.
Finally, the moment came when she had to throw me in the air.
I felt a little nervous that time, and as Engfa told me, I looked at her.
She smiled to me and said,"I'll never allow myself to let you fall,".
That was it. That was it for me. Those words made me full of confidence.
I closed my eyes, taking a deep breath.
I felt her hands on my waist and before even I knew it, I was on the air.
Everything about the moment was magical.
I felt like I was flying.
I looked down at Engfa, and she had her arms wide open for me.
I knew that she would not let me fall.
And as promised, I felt in her arms safely.
Our faces were only inches away from each other. She smelt very nice.
I was ready to risk it all that time and leaned closer.
She did the same, but suddenly, we heard the audience clapping.
Our performance had ended , but we didn't realise that.
She shyly looked away and laughed, and I swear, she looked so cute.
We exited the stage and went backstage.
Now, it was the solo dance competition.
"I know that we'll win in this one," Tina said, hugging Heidi.
"Thank you," I said, looking at Engfa, who was already looking at me.
"For what?" She asked.
"For everything," I said, holding her hands. She smiled at me while holding my hands tighter.
That made me blush. I was as red as a tomato.
"We saw you two. What's happening between you two ?" Nudee said, pointing at both of us.
I looked at her for an answer, too.
What was happening between us ?
Do we have a chance ?
Can we be something?
I had many questions in my mind, too.
Engfa was about to open her mouth to answer when suddenly Faye came running towards us.
She happily jumped in Engfa's arms.
Engfa held her letting go of my hands.
I pulled away from both of them.
That made my heart suffer.
"What if that was nothing ?," I asked myself.
"I think, I'll win," Faye said happily.
"Off course, you will little sis," Engfa said patting Faye's head.
"Sis?" I said.
"Yeah, she is my cousin. Didn't you know ?" Engfa asked me.
"No,infact-," I stopped myself from saying anything further.
Faye then went to her friend leaving me and Engfa alone.
Engfa looked at me and came closer to me.  "What did you thought ?" She asked me, teasingly.
"Nothing," I said looking at her.
She was looking down at my lips then she brushed her fingers on my lips.
"Jealous Charlotte is really my favourite," she said winking at me.
Damn her touch sent shivers down my spine.
I looked at her, she was biting her lower lips while looking at my lips.
That was it.
I pulled Engfa for a kiss, not caring about anyone or anything.
Engfa too kissed me back.
Our lips moved in sync. I could taste her cherry flavoured lip balm and it was quite unique. We then pulled away.
It was a sweet and gentle kiss.
It was my FIRST KISS !!
"That was my first kiss," I said to her.
"Hope you didn't regret it," she said.
Engfa Waraha was my fist kiss. This is such a good day.
I couldn't answer that because that was the first and the best kiss, I've ever had.
Suddenly our teacher called us on the stage. It was the time of announcing the winners.
I tightly grabbed her hands, hoping for the best and we won.
The moment they announced us as the winners, I jumped with joy.
I hugged Engfa tightly. She did too.
We were called to hold the trophy.
Her hands brushed mine while holding the trophy and I know that it was intentionally. I smiled at her as she was smirking at me.
They said that My and Engfa's Chemistry was good. I couldn't agree more.
Faye also won and our school had won all those awards. The face of the rival school's team were lookable.
Everyone went home but us and our friends were still there.
We celebrated our win in an ice-cream shop. It was an amazing time.
Engfa offered to take me home and I agreed.
We were walking the road, side by side.
The road was very quite and peaceful today. The leaves were falling as it was autumn. The sun was setting and suddenly I remembered, Engfa got kissed in this very environment.
Suddenly I got the urge to proof to Engfa that I  was better than her mystery girl.
She kissed Engfa on the cheek now, I'll kiss on on the lips. That'll make me better, right ?

I stopped at the lake side where the sunset was looking very beautiful. She did the same and turned at me as to why I stopped. I pulled her closer and kissed her. I didn't even care if someone would see us. I just wanted her to me now. Only me.
Engfa smiled against my lips and kissed me back. It was much more intense than the first one.
We both pulled away, to breathe.
We both laughed and looked at the sunset.
It was truly an beautiful moment, I wish someone would have picture of us in there.
"What are we ?" I asked her.
She looked at me but didn't say anything.
"We both kissed, then what does that mean ?" I asked her.
"It means that you're mine," she said, hugging me.
It made me melt. I was hers finally.
