Flight or Fight

Chapter 20

After we came out from the restaurant, I didn't know what to say to Damian, so I could stay behind to talk with Noah. I looked at Lily and Maya's direction in hope that they will help me, but they didn't know how too. And honestly, I don't blame them. Maya didn't have the courage to speak with these people about me to stay, and there is Lily who knew that they would say no instantly, especially that they know what happened to me at the airport. I was stuck. I didn't know what to do. At this point I was hoping a miracle will happen.

It's been already a few minutes since we were standing in front of the restaurant speaking with each other, when suddenly Damian got a phone call. He excused himself and went a few steps over so he could speak on the phone. When me and Lily saw this our faces lighted up, and we looked at each other. Maya and Noah were looking at us, curious at what we were doing.

"What are you guys doing?" Noah asked, before Maya could even open her mouth. I looked at Noah's direction and I added "Nothing..."

I mean, how I can say that I'm hoping my boyfriend has something to do so I could stay behind to talk with you (Aka NOAH), because if he finds out that you don't leave me alone, and you want me back, he will probably kill you, or torture you first and after probably you will have a slow death, worst case scenario.

Just by thinking, it sounds awful. I don't want to think about it, how it would sound if I actually said it. So, I tried to brush it off, and focuse on Damian.

I noticed that he comes back already with a concerning face. Usually in this kind of situations I'm sad because 99% of the times, he must leave. But now I was happy knowing that I don't have to come up with some excuse just to stay.

When he came back, he came next to me and said "Unfortunately, your parents, Dimitri, Liam and I, have to leave. Something urgent came up and we don't have a choice. I chose Lily to stay and take care of you."

But before I could say anything Lily started saying "No worries, I will take care of her. I mean, we will go to Maya's place anyway and we will stay there. I mean, it's been a while since we hang out the 3 of us." But before she could continue Noah looked at her annoyed and said "The 4 of us... But anyways..." When Dimitri heard this, he gave Noah the death stare, while me and Lily looked at each other annoyed. Maya realised the situation and she continued "I'm more than happy to spend time with them. I missed them so much, especially Elena."

Seeing how much the girls are trying I had to do something too. So, before he could say anything I dragged Damian aside and I started saying "Look! I know you are worried about me, but I will be fine. Plus, you don't have to worry because of Noah. I love you. I will never cheat on you or stuff like that. You are stuck with me forever."

He looked at me with a smile on his face while he started patting my head and said "I know little devil, but after what happened to you when we landed it just worries me. And I just don't like it when an idiot is near you. I swear if he tries any little thing on you, I will kill him with my own hands."

"Why you have to be so violent?? Trust me, Okay? If something happens, we will let you know immediately." I said it, while I was holding his hands.

He pulled me in his arms and started kissing me. I would've loved to stay like this, but I broke the kiss and drag him back where the others were. But before they left it happened again. I started to feel weird. "I feel weird..." I said and after a few seconds where I could hardly breath I added "It happens again I think..."
