"AH! son of a-" I quickly move my finger away as I accidentally poke myself with a sewing needle for what feels like the thousandth time. I huff to myself and look at the almost finished black tux laid out in front of me "I guess that about dose it...he should be coming to get it today" I huff a big sigh as i flop into my chair and close my eyes. I quickly hear my shop door bell ring and I quickly stand up and see the water fae princess open my door letting a crow in behind her.
"Apologies ember I saw this crow wanting to come in and he has the red dragon symbol on it" she says. I sigh of course the dragon prince wouldn't come himself "oh don't worry about it your highness. I thought that you and the dragon kingdoms weren't in the rights at the moment" I say bowing to her. "oh that's my fathers war not mine." she says as she bends over and holds her finger out to the crow, he hops onto her finger and looks at her as she stands back up again gracefully "plus crows are such beautiful creatures no?" she asks as the crow rubs its face against hers.
"Yes your highness they are. Now might I ask why your here? Your servient picked up your dress yesterday" I say with my head tilted to the side in confusion as I pack the dragon prince's suit into a black box with red ribbon. "Oh! right of course! My father would like you to join us at the masquerade my dear." she says as she twirls her finger pulling water out of the air and turning it into a note made out of water. Its rare to see water faes magic so my eyes widen in astonishment as it floats closer to me. I look closely and see that its an invitation from the king himself, i slowly reach out to grab the note made out of water but hesitate and look at the princess for confirmation. She gives me a nod smiling brightly as I take it in my hands.
I gasp as I put my hand over my mouth and look back at her "this cant be real" I breath out in misbelief. The princess nods enthusiastically "oh ember this is so exciting!" she exclaims as I flop down onto my chair in disbelief. "Princess I cant accept this" I explain to her she looks at me with a serious look "of course you can! Plus its an order from the king you have to go!". she makes a point. Normally a refusal from a king is treason but is that really the same for parties? I sigh and look around the shop "I guess I gotta throw together something for my costume" she squeals and snaps the water out of my hand as she claps her hands together excitedly while she jumps up and down.
I give her a small smile "I suppose you'd have nothing to do with this your highness?" I ask her slyly. She smiles and sticks her nose in the air crossing her arms "Why seamstress ember I have no idea what your talking about" she says as she walks out of the store with the crow carrying the box holding the dragon princess tux. I slightly laugh at myself as she enters her carriage and rides off. I go to the back of my store and find an old fabric that hasn't been used. Your fabrics finally being used mom. I role it out and cut.
