Sybil woke up and looked around, she was in a white room filled with posters and machines, there was a curtain next to her that was the colour of puke. Her mouth felt very dry so she reached for the glass of water beside her bed, when she did she noticed a tube that was sticking out of he wrist, she started to pull on the tube and when it didn't come out she gave up. She began to rise from her bed and walk to the door in the corner of the room when she felt a pull on her body. Her chest was also attached to some wires but when she tugged on them, they came wright off. A loud beeping noise eroded from one of the machines in the corner of the room that now read "no pulse found". A group of people came running into the room, towing another machine behind them. They where dressed in shirts and pants that where all made of the same flowered fabric. One of the men turned to her and said,
"What the hell are you doing out of bed? I would get back in there before the Doc gets back."
"The Doctor? Where am I? Is something wrong?" She demanded with a worried look her her face.
"Honey your at St. Michael's hospital, downtown." One of the younger women explained to her.
"But where downtown, what city am I in?"
The woman looked at her with a pitied look, "You're in Toronto, Canada."
The group of nurses then left the room and let her wait for the doctor in peace. Now she was in Canada? In what year? It must have been in her future for must of what she had seen had no meaning to her. But wasn't Canada supposed to be cold, stuck in eternal winter, however when she looked out the window she saw no such thing, she saw a sunny day and in the horizon a glistening lake with sailboats sliding across with absolutely no difficulty. The door to her room opened and a women who must have been no more then 5'3 entered the room, she had red hair that curled and blue eyes.
"Hello, I'm Dr.Lawrence and I will be your health practitioner for today." She announced in a voice with odd twang. "We searched your ID while you where asleep and it appears as if you do not exist, no one knows who you are, so we have decided to send you into personal rehabilitation."
Sybil did not answer, nothing this woman said to her made any sense it was all nonsense to her.
"We will be sending you to the Petit's where you will live until we fully discharge you back into the real world." Summarized the Doctor. Of course Sybil agreed as she had no other means of living. In her first life she has a job and had inherited a house, in her next life she lives with her mournful lover in his big white house in Alabama and in this life she will stay with the Petit family.
Sybil sat in the front seat of the shinny black car with her window open, they went so fast that her hair blew behind her every time the car started to move again. The women in the driver's seat next to her had medium length, blonde, curly, hair with deep, dark, brown eyes and wore square glasses the framed her face to make her look more professional. So far throughout the entire drive neither of them had said a word, they just looked out the windows observing the new developments along the water front, or the new railings along the street. Sybil learnt much about this women from just observing her in her car. In the back seat was a baby's cot strapped to the seat which had a label on it saying "child car seat, for children aged 0-3." That obviously meant she had at least one young child. She also had a large sticker on the back window that said, "Your family is the only thing worth defending, and Canada is my blood." She also had multiple candy rappers and juice boxes splayed out across the car floor.
"Sybil you must talk, I didn't spend years getting a university diploma for driving this damn car." The woman said as she spun the car around the corner cursing as another vehicle tried to do the same.
"How does one share, if one does not know who receives?" Sybil quoted from her mother.
"My name is Keira Petit, I am now your only concern as I will be assessing your mental health and letting you know when or when not you can leave." Keira said with a fair tone of sass in her voice. "Now if you wouldn't mind telling me what the hell happened this could go by a lot faster.Tell me and I will believe you."
Sybil glared at her feeling as if she had just been scolded by her own mother. "Fine, my name is Sybil, I am from Haselbech, England in the year 1939. My lover, a farm boy named Chase is from the year 1823 in Louisville, Alabama. I woke up here in Toronto yesterday, I have no idea what year it is, or what day as a matter of a fact and so far this life kinda sucks." Sybil said getting louder and louder with every statement until she was yelling. Keira was unresponsive, she simply kept driving until they reached a small yellow house at the end of a small street when she pulled the car into the driveway.
