I gently lower my hand back into my lap. Sitting there silently for a few seconds before moving to grab my book. I don't feel it next to me so I search the area around the bench I sat on. "Where's my book?"

Pavitr's POV

I looked around everywhere for that man. In the halls, around the building, but by time the dismissal bell had rung, I hadn't found him. I sighed and looked to the studded leather bracelet in my hand.

Where could he had gone? Does he have my book?

I watched as people flood out the school, hoping I'd see his iconic hair towering about everyone, but I didn't. "Yo! Pav!" I hear a voice call out to me, so I quickly shove the bracelet into my pocket and turn to see Miles waving me over. "Hey dude! You ready to go?" I say with a nervous smile and he nods.

We begin walking towards our houses, but I was zoned out for most of the walk. "Dude."

It was fine, he was probably just going to talk about the girl who's obviously ignoring him. "Dude."

I wonder if Hobie was looking for me too. Maybe he accidentally took my book. Or maybe he's looking for his-

"PAV!" Miles yelled my name and i abruptly stop and look at him. "Huh?!" "What are you thinking about? You've been spaced out all day." He told me and I nervously scratched my neck. "Oh.. sorry um.." "and what's that?" He asked and pointed down to my hands. I look what was I'm holding, and of course it's the bracelet I was trying to hide, I must've been fiddling with it while zoned out.

"Ummmmm..." I stared at it, desperately trying to think of a reason. Miles just stared at me with a raised eyebrow. "... I found it." I looked up at him to see if he'd buy it, we just stared at each other in silence. "I saw it on the ground, and I picked it up. I was looking for who's it is." I added and he slowly shifted his legs and continued walking. "Aaalright. Well why are you so spaced out about it?" He said and I quickly move to walk along side him. "Just- ya know I think I know who's it is. Buuuut.." i trail and look away from him. "But?" "I don't know how to find him."

Miles thought about it for a sec. "Who is it? We can just find em' tomorrow." I shrugged and a gave a weak nod. "Yeah.. um.. you know Hobie?" I glance to him and watched as he stopped walking again. "Hobie?! Hobie Brown? Nah, just keep it. If he wants another so bad, then he can buy another." He spoke annoyed, slid his hands into his jacket pocket and continued walking. "Huh? Wait you don't like him?" "No, I don't" he huffed and I quicken my walking pace to keep up.

"Ooo, not used to you disliking people. What'd he do?" I jokingly leaned against him with a smile on my face. I was nosy and I only need to push him a little to get him to talk. "Because he's dating Gwen... I think." He mumbled and I move off him. "..he's dating Gwen?"

"Yeah, or maybe. I dunno. They're really close." He rolled his eyes and looked to me, I just silently nodded to myself.

We finally got to a point to where we spit paths and i silently walk my way home while fidgeting with the bracelet in my hand.
Maybe Miles is being dramatic, no way Hobie is dating Gwen, he kissed me!

I feel my face heat just thinking about it again. ...he's not dating anyone is he..?

HOBIE'S POV
"20 dollars." I hold out my hand expectantly. "What? 20 dollars? No, you can get 5." One of my friends laughed and I roll and eyes with a smile. "Ya' 'lright." I shrug and but another friends stops him from giving me the money. "Nah, we didn't see you do it." He crossed his arms.
