I woke up about an hour later, though it was still dark outside. My watch told me it was 1:26 am. I grabbed my bag and went to go change in the bathroom.

It was dirty in there, but at that point I couldn't care less. I threw on some black leggings and a black long sleeve top. I set my foot up beside the sink and laced up my knee high boots. I ran my comb through my gnarled black hair and pulled it into a high ponytail.
When I had finished brushing my teeth and washing my face, I found that Mallory was awake and organizing her pack.

"Eight Drachmas." she told me before putting them back in the smallest pocket.

I nodded, "You should go get dressed. I'll wake up Jinx and we'll go."

"Where?" Mallory questioned. She looked at me with those calculating eyes and I responded, "I'll tell you when we get going."

I watch Mallory's black hair disappear as she went to get ready. I turned my attention to the sleeping seven year old, "Jinx. Wake-"

Before I finished my sentence, he turned to look at me, "I was only pretending to sleep, Ivory." His eyes bright underneath his thick, black, square framed glasses.

I sighed as I sat beside him. "Where are we going?" he asked.

"I have...an idea." I replied before turning to look at him, "Do you remember the camp that Dad and sometimes Hades used to tell us about?"

He though for a moment, then excitement filled his face as he asked, "The one that all the Demigods go to? With the cabins and strawberry fields!?"

"That's the one." I smiled at him, "I think I have a fair idea of where it's located."

Jinx smiled, the dimple in his right cheek became visible as she threw his arms around me.

At that moment Mallory walked out of the bathroom. She raised her eyebrows, but didn't say anything.

"Go get ready, Jinx," I said, gently prying him away from me, "The sooner we leave, the sooner we get there."

Jinx took my knapsack and ran into the bathroom, practically flying with excitement.

"What's that all about?" Mallory asked as she sharpened her throwing stars. "I told him where we're going." I responded very matter-of-fact.

"Which is where, exactly?" Mallory looked me straight in the eye, as if daring me to keep it a secret.

"We," I said, deciding to ignore the harshness in her stare, "are going to Camp Half-Blood."

The thirteen year old blinked, her whole face screamed surprised as she asked, "Do you even know where that is?"

"I have an general idea of where it is, yes." I said, turning to look out into the dark street.

We sat in silence for the next few minutes, and I though about the dream I had before we left the Underworld. I had it almost every single night, and every single night, it ended the same.

I ran, I jumped, then I fell. After a few moments though, I was gliding through the air, a rush of excitement filled me with adrenaline. I was flying. My black wings extended on either side of me, but before long, I always woke up. I though about what Hades had told me once, Ivory, you have a gift, and there will always be people who will hate you for it. Keep this a secret....and keep it well.

Jinx came running out the bathroom and exclaimed, "I'm ready!"

"Then," I took a deep breath, "Let's go."
I said as I handed him his bow and arrows, "Let's go find Camp Half Blood."

We walked through the streets of New York City. Though it was the middle of the night, it was not quiet. It was far from, in fact. There was still plenty of traffic, and the streetlights provided more than enough light for us to get a general sense of where we were going.

We had been walking for about half an hour when I heard a sound that was a cross between a snarl, a roar and gurgle.

I froze, and flung out my arm to stop Jinx. Mallory looked at me in fear, but her expression quickly changed to her determined battle face.

We both whipped around, and I found myself face to face with one of the heads of a hydra. I pulled out my sword and took a step back, eyeing where to hit it for a split second, but Mallory had beaten me to it. Her silver stars were already burrowed deep into the flesh of the creature, which roared, spitting drops of acid.

I felt a searing pain on my left arm, and lunged in to skewer the hydra. I slashed, ducked, then rolled. Out the the corner of my eye I saw Jinx notching an arrow and letting it fly. By the time it struck home, he had already launched two more.

I then lunged in for the kill. I felt a burning sensation, though I couldn't tell if it was the thrill of battle or the hydra acid.

I launched myself into its body, dodging it's dozen heads and thrust my sword downwards. The hydra make a sort of roar crossed between a screech and its heads went limp. Slimy green blood had gotten all over my leggings and the pavement of the alleyway.

We watched as it disintegrated into yellow powder.

"That," Mallory said after a few minuted, "was way too close."

Jinx nodded, slinging his bow across his back and his arrow sheath on his shoulder.

"Mal," I said, "You should take some ambrosia."

"Why?" she looked puzzled, "I'm fine." Jinx then took her right arm and pointed to the elbow area. There was a hole burned in her shirt and she skin underneath was bubbling because of it.

Mallory made a face and accepted the square I handed her. She broke it in half and offered the rest to me. "Your arm isn't looking the greatest either."

She was speaking the truth, so a chewed the piece. To me, ambrosia always tasted like the fruits in the Underworld, the most potent taste was pomegranate though.

We just walked in silence for the next while. The attack on the Underworld already seemed like so long ago, and as we walked I couldn't help but wonder what really happened...
