Chapter 1: A New Day in Adventure Bay

The Paw Patrol had a busy day yesterday, going on multiple rescues, saving the turbots from an erupting volcano, cleaning the bay from some spilled oil, and then capping the day off with some mer-pup antics. All that the pups wanted was a good nights sleep, and as the sun began to rise above the horizon...

Ryder POV

"Big View Trail is beautiful Ryder!" Skye exclaimed, "It really is, lets watch the sunset for a bit then lets-"

I wake up to my pup pad blaring out its ringtone, I reach over to my bedside table to look for it while trying to adjust my eyes to the light, 

"Hey Farmer Al, whats up?" I say with a slight yawn. 

"Sorry to wake you up Ryder but Garbi broke the fence again and let all the sheep out, can you help?". 

"Sure thing Farmer Al." I say as I close my pup-pad and assemble the Paw Patrol.

A few moments later, I faintly hear the pups get up from their pup-houses and head into the lookout, as usual I also hear Marshall crash into the rest of the pups. When they got to the top of the lookout, they all looked sleepy but ready for rescue. 

I call up Chase and Skye, and we head over to Farmer Al's. Skye goes and looks for the sheep while Chase rounds them up. I go over and fix the fence, I don't like the fact that I always have to do the repair jobs, but we've got to deal with it for now. We finish up the job and head back to the lookout for more rest.

We get back and I sit down on the sofa with my pup-pad in hand while Chase and Skye go back to their own pup-houses. I relax for a few minutes then I go over to the kitchen to make some cereal, I get the bowl but I get cut off by my pup-pad once again, I look over and see Captain Turbot calling, I compose myself and answer 

"Ryder, the flounder's anchor broke, its sailing out to sea!" I close my pup-pad for the second time today and head outside.

I walk over to Zuma's pup-house and wake him up, I tell him to get ready and that Captain Turbot needs our help. We drive over to the bay and head out to seal island, we spot the flounder and bring it back to shore, I fix up the broken anchor then head back home. 

It's around noon now but the pups are all still sleeping, the moment we get to the lookout Zuma sprints over back to bed. I head back inside and finish up that bowl of cereal.

A bit after that, I make the pups their brunch and then head back up to my room for a nap. I turn off the lights and lay down, I close my eyes and then my pup-pad starts ringing again, I get back up with my 5 seconds of rest, I turned on the lights and answered Mayor Goodway's call, "Hey Mayor Goodway, need anything?", 

In a calm yet excited voice Mayor Goodway says, "Ryder, can you come down to city hall, no need to rush, this isn't an emergency." 

"Alright Mayor Goodway, see you in a bit!" I say with a sigh of relief. I put my helmet back on and drive over to town hall.

I head inside and see the Mayor waiting for me by her office. "Ryder, this is extremely exciting news!" Mayor Goodway tells me while leading me into her office. 

I sit down at her desk and let out a small yawn, "Oh Ryder, how could Adventure Bay even do anything to thank you and the pups. As the annual Paw Patrol day is coming up, I would like to tell you that Adventure Bay has given you and the pups a three day vacation to wherever you and the pups feel like going!" Mayor Goodway tells me, 

I couldn't help but smile, "Thanks Mayor Goodway! I'll go and tell the pups, bye!" I say while walking back over to my ATV. I drive back to the lookout wondering where we should go, and then it clicks. The new Adventure Island Rocky Beach resort just opened a few days ago! That would be perfect for the pups.

Once I get back to the lookout, I see the pups playing in the yard, I park my ATV in the garage then head up to start planning out our trip. After I finish our plans, I called the pups up to the lookout and told them that I had news for them. I watched them anxiously wait for what I would say next, I switch my facial expression to excited and tell them that we were going on a trip! I watched the pups faces light up as we've been on almost a dozen rescues in the past few days so a restful vacation was exactly what we needed.

I saw them all scramble to get their things ready. I let out a chuckle then head back to my room to start preparing. I finished packing all my stuff at around dinner time, I head back over to the kitchen and prepare some food for me and the pups. We finish up dinner and I manage to keep where were going a secret for tomorrow. I brush my teeth, head to the living room, tell the pups their bedtime story then head to my room to get some sleep before our big day tomorrow.
