𝐽𝑈𝑁𝑂 𝐴𝑁𝐷 𝐿𝑌𝐷𝐼𝐴 𝑊𝐸𝑅𝐸 at Allison's house since she and Allison had to help Lydia pick out outfits for her birthday. Juno was sitting in Allison's chair, a medical bandage around her forearm, which was thanks to the Kanima. Lydia had two shopping bags that were practically about to explode.
"How many outfits do you need?" Allison asked as she came back into the room with smoothies for she and her two friends. Lydia, who they should've known the answer to, didn't have nearly enough outfits. As she explained, she held up different dresses, "It's my birthday! I'm thinking host dress, evening dress, and after hours casual. Not to mention that there are a few dresses in here that are not for me."
"Why would you buy birthday dresses not for you?" Juno asked before taking a sip of her smoothie.
"Because they're for you." Juno's face dropped. She knew that Lydia was going to try and guilt trip her into this. "Wait, what?"
"I know you probably already got me a birthday present, but because it's my day, I want to dress you up. Also, if you say no, I'll scream." Lydia explained with a manipulative yet innocent smile on her face. Juno's remained bored. "Fine."
"You'll really let me?" Lydia excitedly asked with a small squeal. "If I have to."
"Yes, you do." Juno let out a stressed breath, which caused some of her hair to fly up. Juno desperately didn't want to get dressed up or wear a dress, which Lydia was going to make her, but Lydia has wanted to dress her up for a while. This was going to make her friend happy, so she was willing to do this.
"You know, I noticed that you didn't send out any invites." Allison pointed out. Juno immediately scrunched her nose, seeing that this was a bit of a sensitive topic. Due to Lydia being associated with Juno and the whole running in the woods for two days thing, her reputation was a little tarnished. Lydia very confidently showed off her friendship with Juno, but it did her popularity no favours.
Tensely, Lydia responded, "It's the biggest part of the year, Allison. Everyone knows."
"I was wondering if maybe this year, things, you know, might be different? Just 'cause things have been off lately...you know, with Juno and the woods...and just other things and people...like Jackson." Allison was beating around the bush quite a lot while still finding a way to insult Juno. Lydia, however, did not like the mention of her ex-boyfriend. "What do you care about Jackson?"
