DAY THREE MORNING

I dreaded waking up in the morning in case I would see Hyuga sitting at the dining table once more, having breakfast with my dad. But as I started my day, I realized that he wasn't there. Seeing as my mom wasn't hurrying me up.

Compared to yesterday, breakfast was uneventful. I hollered goodbye to my parents as I left the house. Once I was outside, I looked up at the azure sky and was confident it was going to be a good day. The sky was clear yet cloudy enough to not be so sunny. I let out a deep breath and started walking towards the direction of the school.

Unlike my friends, school was a walking distance from my house. Well. . . a 15 minute walk. But who's counting, right? I actually enjoyed the time I spent alone walking. I might be, in Hyuga's words, unnecessarily hyper around my friends; but I needed time my me time or I wouldn't be able to get through the day.

Within five minutes of my walk, I started feeling that I wasn't as alone as I initially thought. I slyly looked behind me to not alert whoever it was following me. But all I saw were students wearing the same uniform as me, walking in the same direction. No one was giving me any attention at all. I furrowed my brows as I turned to the front once more.

Was it my imagination? Was I simply too jumpy because of the gals' jokes yesterday about Hyuga's fans jumping me the very first moment they get. I shook the thought out of my head and decided to just enjoy the warm, calming air of the morning.

I saw Sakura on the opposite side of the school gate from where I was. I waved at her unrelentingly until she noticed me. She started jogging to meet me in the middle. I grinned at her as she greeted me. I was about to invite her for our early training when another figure appeared behind her.

Sasuke Uchiha. He was stoic and cold. His spiky, black hair had a tint of blue to it under the sunny sky. His eyes were dark like the color of ravens.

I gave him a forced smile, knowing it won't be returned. "Good morning too, Uchiha,"

And then, the darnest thing happened. He turned to me, slightly bowed his head in greetings and spoke, "Good morning,"

My eyes widened at the anomaly that happened right before me. I looked up at the sky once more to make sure a storm was not brewing. I pulled Sakura by the arm and raised a hand to cover my mouth as I whispered to her.

"What the hell did you feed him! He actually acknowledged me!"

Sakura rolled her eyes at me before she raised her own hand to cover her lips from Sasuke's sight. "I told you, he's not that bad,"

"What are you two whispering about so early in the morning?"

Sakura and I simultaneously turned to see who it was that spoke. In front of us was a man with messy black hair, his eyes a sharp black in a vertical-slit. He had a strange, red marking at the sides of his face. I could see his sharp canine from the toothy grin he was sporting.

"Doggy!" I greeted with a chuckle as the two of us did the special high five we invented in middle school. "Why are you here so early in the morning?"

"Hey, panda," He laughed as we finished our goofy greetings, he pointed over his shoulder with his thumb. "Naruto proposed a morning practice for the soccer club 'cause the tournament is almost near,"

I looked over his shoulder and saw another man running towards us. He has spiky-blond hair, a goofy grin. And strangely reminds me of a fox 'cause he had a shadow of whiskers in his cheeks. Though, I guess that could also be a cat?
