The Next Day

Ashton's P.O.V

I'm not sure why I'm so excited for tonight. Well, I do know. I've always idolized Rhea. She's incredible. She's such a sweetheart outside of the ring and an absolute powerhouse in the ring. I used to watch her back when she was on NXT. She's the one who in a way showed me that I could do whatever I put my heart to. I mean being non-binary is kind of a lucky thing when it comes to this because I can fight anyone. I've always had a crush on Rhea, I just don't know what it is. I want to get to know her more. Especially if I'm going to get to fight/work with her. I check my phone and see I have a text.

Liv: Hey, do you know what you're going to wear tonight? On your not so date with your crush?

Ashy: No, and for the hundredth time, it's not a date. Don't make me tell James on you.

Liv: Ok fine, do you want to go to the mall? We can pick out something. It doesn't have to be wicked nice, but like I want to go shopping so come with me? Pretty please???

Ashy: Ok Fine.

Liv:Ok, meet me in the lobby in ten

Ashy:Ok

James is my brother and Liv's boyfriend. They've been friends since I could remember. The three of us normally live together but we are on the road and my brother had to stay in Florida to work. I get dressed, grab my wallet and my phone and head downstairs. "You're early," I say once I see Liv already in the lobby. "Yeah , I figured I would give you extra time. Guess you didn't need it," She said with a chuckle. "The only time I take that long is if I need to look good. I'm not doing my make up until later," I say. "Oooh," Liv says smiling at me. "You're lucky you're my brother's girlfriend," I say. "You love me," She says. It's true, she's the sister I never had.

We got to the mall quickly as it was only a 5 minute walk. The mall was on the same street as the hotel. "Where do we need to go?" I ask. "Sephora, we need to get you makeup that makes you feel more comfortable. You just came out not too long ago and haven't changed your makeup and we want you to be comfy," Liv says. "Okay, I guess you're right. I mean I am more like she than they but I have my days. I dress more they half the time but I do want to dress up tonight. I don't want to be overdressed, just comfortable," I say.

"If I know Rhea, and I do, hello tag team partner. She won't care what you are wearing. I think she'll like you. She's awesome. I just didn't introduce you before because we were always busy. Now you guys will get to hang out. I know you get nervous but it'll be fine," Liv says. "Always know what to say now don't you?" I ask. "Yup, I'm pretty great," She says, wrapping an arm around my waist and walking into the makeup store. I grab a purple lipstick, some foundation, my skin care stuff that I was running out of, and a new eyeshadow palette that has more bright colors than the pastels that I normally bring with me.

We check out and head to another store that has a bunch of band t-shirts. I went crazy but I haven't had band t-shirts in a while. I lost them in the house fire back home. We are literally about 2 hours from my old home. James and I's parents were killed in the house fire. We still don't know what caused it. But it's almost the 3 year anniversary. I just hope I'm making them proud. I know Dad would be happy with me finally following my dream, I just wish they could be here. "Hello!! Did you hear anything I just said?" Liv asks. "No, sorry zoning out," I said. "I know. I was trying to point out someone who is here," She says, turning me around. It's Rhea. I pay for my stuff and try to sneak out. I would've been able to if a certain blonde didn't have to stop and talk to Rhea. I swear she wants me to die of anxiety.
