Chapter Twelve| PARTY

Ten Days Later

Ashton's P.O.V

Riddle and I are about to shoot our first promo for our tag team match against Jimmy and Tamina today. It actually would've been Rhea and Dominik but they "broke up" a few months ago, their still friends but Rhea came out as gay and couldn't lie to him anymore. All for show obviously but I was cracking up in the gorilla. It was like a bad telenovela but more progressive than a stereotypical telenovela.

The director ques me in. "Hey, Ash, Bro I had an idea, do you wanna hear it?" Riddle asks. "Hey, Riddle, sure man, hit me with the thoughts," I say acting like a really good listener but also kinda high. I'm not, I wish though. "I was thinking we could do a mix tag team match against Jimmy Uso and Tamina. They're so negative though, maybe we should do something to cheer them up," He says. "We could bake!" I say. "I know just the thing man, we could make them special brownies, their special because their made with -" " Love," I say. "Exactly what I was about to say dude," He says. We fist bump and the camera goes away. "That was awesome, are you sure your ready to fight Tamina later? I know she's real tough" Riddle asks. "She's tough but i'm always up for a good challenge.," I say. "Ok," He says. "Also, happy one year of being here!" He says walking away. "Thanks man!" I say. I completely forgot it was a year 2 days before I proposed to Demi. Oh well, I doubt anyone else remembered either.

Five Minutes Before The Fight

"Ready Amore Mio?" Rhea asks. I blush. I love when she speaks Italian. She knows I'm nervous. I haven't fought Tamina yet. She's a sweetheart out of the ring but in the ring she's kinda scary but so isn't Rhea so yeah. "Yes, vita mia." If she's going to call me her love I'm going to call her my life, because she is the love of my life. Rhea is going out with us to make sure Solo doesn't pull any shit because he's accompanying Jimmy and Tamina. We're coming out to the public later when Finn fights Aj styles. I have another promo with Rhea, pretty much saying "when are we going to tell everyone we're dating" we haven't been able to be public about our relationship and we're engaged. But that'll change after tonight. Rhea gave me her ring before we went out so I could keep it safe in its box in our dressing room.

My music starts and I walk out with Rhea following me, I blow my fire ball and roll into the ring. Riddle's music plays and he does his thing and fist bumps me. "We got this, with our speed, and our strength combined, they're screwed. We love them, but they're screwed. I already did the other promo where I gave Tamina the brownies. They do a promo later where they eat them and that'll be shown on smackdown this week," He says. "Ok cool, I hope this takes off, i think it's cool to do but i'm sure it'll be fun for viewers to watch too," I say. "Of course," He says.

Tamina and Jimmy come out with Solo, I look at my love and she is already death glaring Solo. That's my sexy beast, make them death eyes at him. The announcer does their thing and the bell rings, Jimmy getting in but then tagging Tamina making me go in first. She looks at me and winks. Ok so she's not completely terrible. She's still trying to be friendly as she kicks my ass.

End Of Fight

Tamina tries to pin near a turnbuckle and I manage to get my ankle on the bottom rope making her let me go. I get her up on a turnbuckle and hit her with a northern lights suplex pinning her shoulders down.

3...

And our Winners, Half Baked!" The announcer says. Riddle comes into the ring and picks me up and quickly puts me down. Rhea is jumping outside of the ring. We get out of the ring and go to the gorilla. "You did so good, baby!" She says. "Thanks love," I say, kissing her cheek. "We have to go to Finn to shoot the promo, come on." She says. "Are you ready to be public?" I ask. "Never been more ready," She says. We head over to Finn and he's all smiles. "What are you up to?" I ask. "I'm just happy for you guys," He says. He's such a softy when he's not in the ring. Damian and Dom get here and the director gives us our que. "Are you ready?" Damian asks Finn. "Never been more ready. Aj doesn't seem to know how to learn his lesson so i'm going to have to beat it into him," He says. Damian, Dom, and Finn leave the shot. Rhea starts to walk away and I "catch up" to her. "Hey, did you think about what we talked about?" I ask. "Yes, I have and I want to but aren't you worried? I don't care what people think, but what about the guys?" She asks. "They've already accepted both of us. It's time they know that we're together. I shouldn't have to hide my girlfriend," I say. "I guess you're right. We can tell them later," She says. The director stops filming and we meet the guys in the gorilla. The crowd is going wild.

Back At The Hotel

We get back to the hotel and we both shower. I get out of the shower with a towel wrapped around me and walk to my suitcase. "Hey, everyone's getting together, you want to go?" Demi asks. "Yeah, just let me get dressed," I say. I grab my hoodie and shorts and finish getting dressed. "My sexy fiancé," She says, wrapping her arms around my waist. I was talking to her the other day about how I actually prefer she out of she/they and she said she'll just use her if I don't mind then. It's great. We were talking about once we get married what I wanted to be referred to as. I want to be her wife. I turn around and kiss her. "What was that for?" She asks. "Because I love you and I can," I say. "Come on, before the others start a search party," She says.

I grab my key card and grab my love's hand as she walks us to the others' rooms. Damian and Finn have a joining room with Drew and Shamus. Demi walks in and the lights are off. Suddenly the lights go on. "SURPRISE!!!!" It's all of our close friends. Liv even flew James and Syd in. "What's this for?" I ask. "Happy Engagement aaand, HAPPY ONE YEAR ASH!!!" They all say. Demi already wished me one year on my one year but I thought everyone else forgot. "I thought y'all forgot!" I said still in shock that they really care. I guess I still need to work on knowing my friends actually give two shits about me. "No one forgot, you were just too busy getting engaged," Bianca says. "Show us the ring!"Charlotte says. Demi goes around showing everyone the ring.

I make my way to the balcony where James and Syd pull me into a group hug. "I'm so proud of you. I know our parents would be too. Not only did you fight to get your dream, you got your dream girl, and you're marrying her. I can just hear dad now. 'You got both your dreams kid, how'd you do that one?' Gotta love ol' pops," James says. I look up holding back tears. "I don't know Dad, but she's all mine. I did it. I'll keep making you hugs proud," I say as I start crying. "No crying, it's a party!" Liv says hugging me. "She was talking to dad," James says. "Oh honey, it's all good. RHEA, CODE BLUE!" Liv yells.

Demi comes running from around the corner. "What's wrong Amore mio?" She asks, pulling me close and laying her head on my chest so I can rest my cheek on her head. "I was talking to dad. I just miss them. I know they're ok now but I wish they were here," I say. "I know love. They are, I know it sucks that they aren't here physically," She says, hugging me tight. Riddle comes up to me and puts a joint in my mouth and lights it. "Pull bro, you'll feel better, it's northern lights og that I grew and it also has lavender in it so it'll help your anxiety too," He says. I pull one hand away from Demi to pull the joint out to blow out. "Thanks man," I say, handing it back to him. "No man, I made that one for you. It's half and half so you probably won't get high but you'll get the relief," He says. I give him a side hug with Demi still attached to me. "I'm ok vita mia. It was just a moment," I say.

"I know love, but I like to make sure you get what you need, I was trying to give you your compression," She says. "Thanks love," I say. I give her a quick kiss. She goes back to talking to Charlotte and Dom comes over. "Are you ok?" He asks. "Yeah, I was having my dead dad moment. I'm sure there are lots of those to come where he can't walk me down but I'll be ok. My parents will be there. My mom wouldn't miss her baby girl's wedding. And my dad wouldn't miss a chance to see Rhea. When we used to watch, he and I would always talk about how incredibly gorgeous she was, well it is clearly," I say laughing. "No denying that. I love my sister but I see what you mean. She turns heads everywhere. But she only gets to go home with you and that in and of itself is a trophy. I thought after Xander she'd never love again. I'm glad she found you. I'm glad we found you," He said giving me a quick hug. "I'm glad you guys took me in too," I say.

The party goes on and I finish my joint feeling calm but thankfully not tired. The party ends around 3am and Demi and I go to bed.
