The Following Morning

Ashton's P.O.V

I wake up and it's 8am. Demi and I didn't get to bed until around 3am this morning because of the afterparty for the wedding. I can't believe she's all mine. I go down stairs and feed Belle before taking Lilly and Barry for a walk. Once all the animals were fed and walked I brought the pups home. I'm going to take my wife out for birthday breakfast. I get in bed and pull a sleeping Demi close to me. She stirs a little but stays asleep. I kiss her forehead, then her nose, then her lips. "Birthday Baby, it's time to wake up," I say, kissing her cheek. "Ok amore mio, just give me a minute," She says, opening her eyes. "How about I start a bath?" I ask. "That sounds amazing," She says, rubbing her eyes, smudging her makeup more. We were so tired. I'm lucky I even have pajamas on and that's because I said I'd walk the dogs in the morning.

I get up and grab the rose petals I got a while back and some Epsom salts. I light some lavender eucalyptus candles while I make the bath. I feel a pair of arms wrap around me. "Happy Birthday Mrs.Bennet-Callis," I say. "Why thank you, Mx.Bennet-Callis," She says as I turn around and kiss her forehead. I grab the makeup wipes off the counters and start my attack on her face. "What are you doing?" She asks giggling. "Taking off your makeup so you don't break out," I say. She stays still and let's me finish taking it off. She then grabs a wipe and starts taking mine off. "There's my beautiful love," She says. I pull her close and kiss her, grabbing her ass in the process. "Hey!" She says. "What? I put a ring on it, it's mine now too," I say smiling. She just looks at me. "You know I'm right," I say. She kisses my cheek. "Come on, before the water gets cold," She says. I undress and get in the tub. The water scalding hot against my skin but feels amazing. "I think we danced too much," Demi says. "Why do you say that?" I ask. "I'm sore and the water feels better than usual," She says. "Well, there's rose petals and Epsom salts. It's going to feel good," I say, kissing her shoulder. "True," She says. "Where do you want to go for breakfast? We can go anywhere. You're appointment isn't for a week," I say. "It's going to sound stupid but I'm am perfectly content having a stay at home honeymoon. There's plenty of restaurants around here and things we can do. And we need to spend time with our animals," She says. "Very true. Would you like me to make breakfast or order breakfast in or go get breakfast?" I ask. "Can we order for pickup?" She asks. "Of course," I say.

We sit in the bath until it goes cold and then rinse off. I wrap her in a towel before wrapping myself in mine. "What do you want to wear? If anything? I'm going to pick up food but I'll be right back," I say, putting on a black crop tank top and plaid pajama pants.

"I'll just wear my favorite set, I cleaned it last week," She says. "Ok," I say, grabbing them for her. She puts them on while I check my phone. There's no texts, so I just stand there and admire my wife. She looks cold. I grab her shawl and hand it to her. "How'd you know?" She asks. "I just do," I say, pulling her to me and kissing her.
