Sorry for taking so long to update.

Weeks had gone by and Y/n hadn't seen Akaza, her new friend since that eventful night.

(Hey. Hey! Better don't misunderstand anything. She's only 7 alright? Read previous chapter incase you forgot or something.)

This made Y/n upset and to make matters worse, her parents had decided to enroll her in a school.

Going to school in Tahoku village wasn't necessary but most parents preferred to enroll their children if they could afford it.
They believed it would gain the children more respect in the future.

In Y/n's case, her parents didn't decide to send her to school because it would gain her respect in the future. They didn't care about those kind of noble crap.

They were sending her to school because...Y/n was making them a bit worried. She acted like she had some mental problems.

For example;

She would go out at night and stand still in the snow staring at the tall Sugi tree in front of their house as if she was waiting for someone.

When asked, she would say that she was waiting for a friend of hers.

And as far as her parents were concerned, Y/n didn't have a single friend.

They thought that the lack of friends was starting to affect her mental health and therefore, decided to enroll her into a school.

Y/n was not at all happy about this.
....

The next day was going to be Y/n's first day in school. She was upset and slightly nervous at the same time.

At night, she went and stood in front of the same tree and waited for her friend, Akaza.

Even though she was aware that the demon was absent, she still vented out all the things that made her upset.

How her parents didn't believe that he existed, how they thought she was crazy, how they were going to enroll her into a school and so on...

She had been their for almost an hour when their front door opened to reveal an angered (M/n).

"I knew you'd be here again!" her mother said angrily and walked towards the little girl. She gripped her by the arm and started to drag her away but Y/n persisted.

"Mama! My friend's gonna come over soon!"

The mother looked at her daughter with a worried expression.
"Don't worry darling. You'll be starting school tomorrow. You'll meet a lot of friends and this madness will finally end."

"But mama!" Y/n persisted. She pulled her arm out of her mother's grip forcefully and started running forward only to trip and fall flat on her face on the snow.

For some reason, she decided to stay in that position.

Without a word, (M/n) dragged her daughter by her feet into the house as the girl literally ate snow.

The next day...

"Y/n! Y/n! Come out here this instant!" (M/n) yelled in the morning.

Today was Y/n's first day at school and she was supposed to be getting ready but she couldn't be found anywhere.

(M/n) gritted her teeth in frustration and turned to her husband who was munching on some rice balls for breakfast.
