I LOST THE @ AGAIN. Wattpad is being weird and won't save the @ when I leave and come back. So yet again, whoever requested, thank you and enjoy! <3

The song speaks of a person's struggle to stay true to someone despite the realization that their heart won't remain faithful for long.

Oliver's P.O.V.

"I'm going out! Does anyone want to come with me?!" I yell from the front door.

There is complete silence so I yell again. "Hello!?"

I then hear footsteps coming down the stairs and a second late, Justin appears from behind the corner.

"I'll come with."  He quickly grabs his shoes and slides them on.

We get in the car and I start driving to the mall. I need to pick up some gifts and stocking stuffers for Christmas. So, on the way there me and Justin start talking about what we are planning on getting for the others, that is, until he stops mid conversation to take a picture of the sky. The sun was starting to set and the light was godly.

I looked over at Justin while we were at a red light and I immediately took out my phone to take a picture of him. The lighting was godly but he looked ethereal. The light caught his eyes perfectly. He turned to look at me and I almost lost my breath.

"What? Why are you taking a picture of me?" He asks.

"Oh, um, the lighting is really good and I thought you'd like a picture for Insta or something." I lie through my teeth.

But he only smiles before raising his phone and taking a picture of me. "There, now you have one too."

We keep going and once we reach the mall, I park and we go inside. We wander around for a bit, buying gifts, looking at clothes and asking opinions on stuff. After an hour, we both agree to go get food.

"What do you want to eat?" I ask him.

"Umm, I don't care, you pick. But I do know that I'm getting something from the bubble tea place."

"Ok. How do you feel about having a burger?" We find a table and place our stuff down.

"Sure! I'll wait here while you get it and then I'll get us drinks. What do you want?" Justin takes a seat and looks up at me.

"You surprise me, just like I will for you."

He nods and I leave to get food and once I get back, he goes to get the drinks. while setting our food in our spots, someone slides into Justin's seat. I look up to see Jayden, my girlfriend.

(Jayden is made up for the sake of this story)

"Oh, hey Jayden. What are you doing here?"

"Shopping with some friends. I saw you here and came to say hi. Are you here with the boys?" She leans forward slightly, her hair falling off her shoulder.

"Just Justin, he's the only one who wanted to come." She nods.

"Ok, well I should go back with my friends now. But I'll see you later, ok babe? Maybe this weekend." She gets up, fixing her purse so it doesn't fall off of her shoulder.

"Maybe, I'll have to see what we're doing."

"Sounds good. I'll text you later, say hi to J for me! I love you." She leaves, going to a group of girls who are whispering and smiling to each other, looking in my direction.

"Love you too." I say more to myself than anything.

Recently, I've been conflicted about Jayden. I thought I really liked her, loved her even. But the more I have hung out with Justin, the more the feelings for Jayden and him seem to mix. Or maybe, what I thought was romantic love was actually platonic and vice versa. I begin to wonder if I ever loved Jayden at all and that maybe the feeling of having someone confused me into thinking I was in love.

Just as my thoughts get the better of me, Justin sits down, passing me my drink.

"Thanks."

"No problem. Was that Jayden?" He asks, turning to see if she was there.

"Yeah, she saw me and came to say hi. She says hi to you too, by the way."

He smiles and looks at me, "I got you a mango smoothie, it's apparently really good and I thought you'd like it."

When we get back home, Justin heads to his room, thanking me for dinner before he goes. I also thank him for the drinks before heading to my room. Putting my stuff down, I take a seat on the floor, going between wrapping gifts, writing down lyrics and planning for videos.

After a while, I finally decide to go to bed, changing into a pair of shorts and a hoodie. I scroll on my phone for a couple of minutes before shutting it off. Trying to drift off to sleep, I think about what tomorrow will bring as it will finally be the weekend. And right before I fall asleep, I realize I have to text Jayden.

Timeskip pt. 2

Waking up on Saturday morning was always good, mostly because we could get out of bed whenever without the pressure of a schedule. When I finally make my way downstairs at around 11 am, I'm surprised to see everyone else already there.

Huddled around the kitchen island, they are showing each other videos and tiktoks, explaining which ones they are going to do and seeing who wants to join.

I stand next to Justin, watching as he gets excited over a cat video Ryan is showing him.

"Oh, hey Oli!" Justin greets me.

"Hi."

"Do you want to come with us later? We're going to a holiday party that Nina is hosting." He turns toward me to make sure I heard him.

"Uh, yeah, that sounds good. What time is it at?"

Justin looks over at Sebastian who answers for him, "Starts at 1, ends at about 9."

I nod, "Let me go get ready then."

I make my way up to my room and pull out my phone. I find a text from Jayden.

TEXTS BETWEEN JAYDEN AND OLIVER

Jayden: Hey babe! Free today??

Oliver: No, sorry. Justin invited me to come with him and the guys to a holiday party that Nina is hosting.

Oliver: Actually, do you want to come?

Jayden: Sure, as long as Nina and the boys are ok with it.

Oliver: They'll be excited to see you

Jayden: Then let me know the address and time. I'll be there

Oliver: Will do

Oliver: Time is 1 - 9 and the address is 123 some street.

Jayden: Sounds good! I'll see you there

Jayden: Bye love!

Oliver: Bye

After getting changed, I meet everyone downstairs and we go to the cars. I sit in the back with Justin and Sebastian.

While there, I notice Justin's hand on the part of the seat between us. I slowly put my hand next to his. The sides of our hands are touching but he doesn't pull away. My last thought was of Jayden before out hands eventually intertwined.
