This year I'm turning 18 and every year I spend it at cousins beach with my favorite people.
My family tags along with the fishers and Conklin's each year and they always throw me and belly a little celebration for our birthdays since they're over the summer.

Since my birthday is July 5th, we normally celebrate it on the 4th.

I woke up to Jeremiah barging into my room clapping and singing.
"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you," he sang
I just threw a pillow at him at used the other one to cover my ears.
Once he was done he threw himself onto my bed with me.
"Yo! Get up, you're a grown adult now! You need to be productive!"

Once I got up and headed down stairs everyone was there, then when I saw Conrad he had a big plate of stacked pancakes with sprinkles all over them and three candles sticking out of the top pancake.
He had a big smile on his face.
Then they all started to sing happy birthday.

I hung out with belly and Conrad most of the morning waiting till I would hear the beautiful words of "want to open presents?"

"Y/n you want to open gifts?" I heard Susannah yell from the sliding door.
I leaped out of my seat and made my way inside as fast as I could.
We all sat down in the living area.
"Mine first!" Belly shouted throwing my a quite heavy box.
I ripped the paper of and it was a mini teddy bear and a box of rare beauty blush and lip oils.
I always though it was awkward having people stare at me while I was opening presents they got me. I think about how I might disappoint them by my reaction maybe not being what they were hoping for.

But then Steven threw his gift at me. They all new that I thought it was awkward so they try to make it as quick and painless as possible and make sure my summer doesn't have any worry's at all.
Stevens was way lighter and felt squishy. When I ripped the paper of and it was a f/s hoodie. I love hoodies and Steven was like a brother to me. And what I mean by that is he's very protective over me and belly. He doesn't want guys drooling over us.

Then Jeremiah throws a box at me. When I ripped the paper off condoms fell off of a box of books.
"Jeremiah!!" Everyone yelled
"What she's an adult now! I'm doing her good so she doesn't get stds or something she don't want!" He yelled back
We all just rolled our eyes.
"Wait ours next since Connie wants to go last, we'll be right back." Susannah said.
Laurel and Susannah rushed out of the room and came back with a big bag on a hanger. Like one you'd put a dress in. I had one just like it for the deb ball. They hung it up on a tall hook in the room and motioned for me to come to them.
"Unzip it." My mom said from behind me. I turned around and looked at her. She was filming me. I slowly started to unzip it.
"Oh my, you didn't!" I said It was the dress I actually wanted for the deb ball. Belly got the one she wanted that day but I was stuck with one that looked like it was from a scrap yard.
"Thank you so much!" I said with a giant smile on my face. I hugged them both.
"Ok ok now my turn!" My mom said
She got up and handed me a box wrapped in Christmas paper instead of birthday paper.
I started to unwrap it. But the box was just a plain brown box. I then opened it and pulled out a photo of me and Conrad.
I had lost all my photos and my favorite photo of me and Conrad a year ago. I thought I would never see it again. But here it is now. Not on my phone. Not on screen. No it was in my hands framed.
Then conrad walked up to me.
"Now it's finally my turn." He said handing my a big box that had a smaller box on top of it.
I blushed at the thought he wanted to be last to give me my gift and personally wanted to get up and give it too me.
I started to shake when I opened the little box because he was hovering over me. I have had a crush on him since I was very young and I think he know but with him it's so hard to tell.
I hope he couldn't tell I couldn't breath.
With out the wrapping paper on it, it was a little black box. I opened it and it was a necklace. It had a C on it and a little infinity hanging from it as well. I turned and looked up at him. He had a little smile on his face as he watched me.
"Here, let me put it on you while you open that." He said motioning to the other box.
I gave him the necklace and tried to get my hair out of the way.
I opened the next box and it was a stuffed bear holding tickets. I looked closely at them and I was the name f/a.
"What tickets are these for?" I asked looking back up at him.
"Well there tickets to go see f/a tomorrow. They are also floor tickets so you will have the best view with me by your side."
My jaw was dropped. A big cheesy smile grew on my face and I turned around and jumped onto him. Wrapping my arms around his neck and my legs around his waist.
"Thank you thank you thank you!" I said digging my head into his neck.

Later we all went outside to help laurel and Susannah. They had a cute set up on the back porch and near the pool.
We had all help to prepare dinner and my cake that I was told I can't see until they bring it out.

When we all sat down to eat Conrad sat next to me. We all talked and laughed. Until I felt Conrad hand grab mine lightly. As soon as I felt it I looked his way almost immediately. He just smiled at me. I knew that look he had. Because I look at him that way sometimes. It was a look of love, comfort, and being mesmerized.
I felt heat rise to my cheeks and I gave him a little smile. I adjusted my hand to were I could hold his too.

After everyone was finished they told me to wait outside at the table. I was outside alone for a little. Until I heard them singing agian.
The cake was gorgeous. It was light blue with white details and little pink flowers here and there.

Later everyone went to parties or to bed. I stayed home. I thought everyone had gone out to one of nicoles or Jeremiah's friends parties so I took a walk out to the deck to watch some of the fireworks. I was in small shorts and one of Conrad's hoodies he had given to me the first day we got to cousins after Jeremiah, Steven, and himself had thrown me and belly into the pool.
I had my arms on the ledge and looked at the sky.
But then I heard foot steps walking down the deck. "Whatcha doing out here?"
I turned around to see conrad.
"Oh just wanted to see if I could catch any fireworks." I said
He stood next to me and put his arms on the railing the same way I had mine.
I could feel him looking at me, so I turned my head to look at him too.
But i couldn't help up let my eyes wonder.

They went from his eyes to his lips. Until I caught him doing the same.
He started to lean in, so I did too.
Then our lips crashed like waves.
Then a firework went off. We parted and looked out at where the firework had come from. Then we both looked back at each other and smiled. We both leaned in again. I could feel him smile into the kiss and couldn't help but smile myself.
But this is conrad fisher, he's known for kissing a girl then leaving her in the dust.
I pulled apart and looked at him.
"Is this just a one time thing our am I yours and you're mine?"
He looked at me like I was dumb.
"The tickets?" He said then I got the hint.
He must have been able to read my mind because he pulled me back in by the necklace he gave me.
Then he pulled apart again and pressed his forehead to mine.
"Yes, I'm yours and you're mine." He said
