My legs creaked under the force of his punch and I could almost swear at least an arm was broken.
"Don't give me that after what you did, brat!" He reprimanded, backing off as I felt my arms shake from just defending his attack.
"You're lucky enough I stopped at that. What are you doing here anyway?" He asked, adjusting his wrinkled sleeves.
An unfamiliar trio caught up to Jay from behind, looking both confused and intrigued at the same time.
"Jayden, who is this person and why does he look so much like you?" The girl asked.
She had red hair similar to fire and I noticed the calluses that riddled her hands.
Jayden glared daggers at me and I totally stayed calm like I wasn't the cause of all this.
But he relented and sighed before grabbing my shoulder.
"This little booger here is my brother, Arthur Leywin. As you can see, we are unfortunately twins. It also seems contrary to my initial expectations, he actually got much stronger."
After my appearance here actually set in, he looked at me curiously.
"By the way, why are you here anyway? I thought you were still messing around in the Glades?"
I gave him a thumbs up and winked.
"I just got promoted yesterday. Waiting for my guild card to come back so I figured I could mess around here and see what my brother's been up to."
He smirked, bringing a hand to his chin.
"Well, how about that? AA Class, huh?"
Jayden Leywin
The students around exchanged whispers between each other after hearing me, as if trying to confirm what they heard.
"Regardless though, that's not a bad track record, no? It's only been a little over a month since I stopped messing around in the Glades, right?"
Arthur nodded, moving his shoulder joint in a circular motion like some old guy who peaked in his academy years.
"Yeah, you just missed the promotions. By the way, you've made some interesting friends."
Arthur eyed the trio for a moment before we turned and I threw my arm around his neck.
I pointed in order as I introduced them all.
"The red hair is Claire Bladeheart, the big guy's Theodore Maxwell, and the blondie's Leonard Tempest."
"Bladeheart?" He eyed Claire curiously.
Claire spoke up, offering a hand with a smile as always.
"Kaspian Bladeheart's my uncle. He taught me swordsmanship when I awakened, so you might see similarities in our styles."
"I see. Guildmaster Bladeheart's always a treat to be around. I guess it's safe to say I've got similar expectations from you, considering I'll be here next year."
Art then looked at Leonard and back at me before pointing.
"And him. Tempest?"
I chuckled, nodding.
"Yeah, as in Samantha Tempest. She's his older sister."
My twin offered a hand to Leonard, nodding.
"I think you'll be easy to get along with if that's the case then. If you're even half as nice as she is, I don't see any problems being around you."
