The Glade and Its Glitch: Book 4 Escape

Chapter 4

PIXAL helped Zane off of the ground. "That was fast."

"Yeah, they left as quick as they came."

"That seems to be their thing." Nya got off the couch and walked over to Jay. He was still staring out the window Skylight had disappeared out of. "You alright?"

"Huh? Yeah, I'm ok, you?"

Nya nodded but kept pushing, "Are you sure? You said you couldn't see. There was a black floating stripe over your eyes." Nua reached her hand up to touch Jay's cheek.

"Nya," Jay gripped her hand, "I'm ok, Skylight just made a blindfold... out of darkness. But I'm fine, no bruises, no cuts."

"Alright... Kai, how's Skylor?"

"I'm alright," Skylor had her arm slung over Kai's shoulder. "Just, my goodness, that power really drained me."

"Like how controlling Garmadon's mech drained you?" Nya remembered how weak Skylor had been after that day.

"Sort of. But that was much more powerful and harder to hold onto. Supernova's power was just like any other power. Just really draining."

"You should sit on the couch." Kai helped her sit down. She put a hand to her head and tried to soothe her headache. "Go get Master Wu," Kai told Cole.

The black ninja ran off in search of his master. It would probably also be a good idea to tell him about the attack. Cole was honestly surprised no one had heard it.

Jay rested his hand on Nya's waist, he was a little shaken up, but was trying not to show it. Most people already thought he was the weakest ninja, he had to prove them wrong. The other ninja didn't think so, and they told Jay the people were wrong. But their words still stung, and Jay still felt that he had to prove himself.

"You sure you're alright?" Nya asked her boyfriend again.

"Mhm. I'm ok. Just a little shaken."

"But we were attacked, who wouldn't be shaken?"

"I don't know. Maybe Master Wu? Or Garmadon?"

"Jay, they'd still be shaken. They just hide it well. Wu under his stern stoic appearance. And Garmadon under his mean superior exterior."

"I guess..." Jay watched his siblings bustle around. Kai making sure Skylor was ok. Zane checking up on PIXAL and her checking up on him. Cole had left the room, but Jay knew that when he returned he'd make sure everyone was alright and make them all drink water and eat food. Nya was checking up on him, and he'd tried to check up on her. But she'd dodged the question.

"Nya? You never answered my question. Are you ok?"

"I'm alright Jay. We all are. It's gonna be ok. We'll figure this out and get Lloyd back."

"I sure hope so."

Skylight dashed around trees making his way back to the Glade. He ran straight across the border, not bothering to follow the path and unlock the border. Certain people were recognized by the trees and let into the Glade without having to enter the code. The leaders, Huntress and Protector, were recognized. Heads of patrols and troops were also recognized, Skylight, Sunbeam, and Supernova.

So Skylight leapt over the border and dashed over to the Jackson's treehouse. Kiki saw him coming and ran out, she'd been told to stay with the Jackson family while her dad and brother were out attacking the ninja. When she saw the look on his face she slowed.

"Get Mrs. Dani! Mrs. Dani!"

Kiki stumbled backward and ran back into the house to get Dani. But the woman had heard her name called and came rushing out of the home
