The rest of the week was rainy. We had school, but the officers suggested we do independent study, so we did.
We spent almost half the day catching up on the late work we missed in class.
Ms. Chen has been emailing me to check on me.
She's very kind. Like an angel. I'd like to think my mother sent her to me.
...I miss her more every day.
There was a soft knock at the door, and Andrew walked in with a stiff face.
"Are you hungry?"
I didn't bother to look up at him.
I had taken the pen I was chewing on out of my mouth and said no, focusing on the screen.
He cleared his throat and I finally looked up at him.
"Let me rephrase that. Eat."
He set the food down in front of me and I sat there just staring at him.
"I'm not hungry."
He frowned.
"You didn't eat yesterday. You're hungry."
I rolled my eyes and sighed.
"Andrew, I'm not-"
I got cut off when my stomach growled aggressively.
"Fuck.."
He smirked cockily.
"Exactly. Now eat."
I mean mugged him before taking a bite of the pizza bites he made.
"What class?"
I looked up at him with a confused expression.
"What do you mean?'
He rolled his eyes
"What class are working on right now?"
I scrunched my nose, mocking him.
"What class meh meh meh meh bleh."
He narrowed his eyes at me and I laughed.
"Science. We have an assignment to make up the lab we missed a couple of days ago."
He looked at me confused.
"And what's that face for?"
He looked into my eyes, and with the most serious tone I've heard from him all week, he asked me worriedly.
"We've had homework for our classes?"
I looked at him completely stunned.
"What have you been doing all day?!"
He looked me dead in the eyes and responded.
"...Pilates."
We sat there, staring at each other, before I burst out laughing.
"Are you kidding?!.."
He stared at me in silence again and I lost my shit.
"Hahaha, that's what you were doing all day?? You're a dumbass."
He frowned, shooting a deadly glare at me.
"Shut up."
He turned off my laptop and went back downstairs.
"Hey, you moron!"
I could hear him snickering from downstairs.
"Tch..this boy."
