It seemed like it had only been mere minutes afterwards- though when Y/n checked in on her clock, it had been a few hours. And judging by the way she could hear everyone else downstairs and the Skeksis doing their almost daily squabbles, Y/n only rolled out of bed before she held onto the bed so she could properly put her feet on the floor.

After brushing her teeth, and flossing, she already headed downstairs after she meticulously brushed her hair and did it in a simple braid, making sure that none of the stray hairs could block her vision, or did that annoying tickling sensation that she was ticked off at.

As she traversed down the stairs, she was slightly surprised by how far the house was clean, well thanks to the UrRu and the gelfling, even a few Skeksis like SkekSa and SkekGra, surprisingly SkekMal.

The Skeksis were watching anime (though Y/n was very picky since she didn't want them to be exposed to the concept of fanservice and the more inappropriately disgusting sides of most animes). It was mostly a camp cozy anime with food, and SkekAyuk look like he was gonna drool like a pug.

Y/n didn't blame him since she also was a pug, a damn hungry one when she saw the unrelenting masterpiece scene that was the cooking scenes, the only times she stay in one place without pacing around the house to make sure everyone was around, Hup was getting used to the kitchen- being said that he ruled the kitchen with a damn iron fist that would make Gordon Ramsay cry with pride.

Though she felt an urge, a sort of itch of disturbance, like she needed to check out every nook and cranny, it was a fault, a small habit that she herself didn't know where it came from- a sense of paranoia? Most likely from living puppet bird, lizard monsters that could squish the life out of her- no wonder the Gelflings saw them as impenetrable creatures.

Y/n soon checked out the spaces, and upon seeing nothing was out of sorts, a small exasperated expression was revealed, maybe it was being cooped up in the house after the incident that made her this way- or the outside, either way, it was like whatever was at that party, followed her.

Maybe she was overthinking it from the residue of hysteria she witnessed, the near panic of almost being in danger. Whatever it was, Y/n felt the atmosphere was thick, like her senses had an acute awareness of the attacker, the murderer.

Y/n let out a gasp as she felt the arms of SkekMal grabbing her from behind, she panicked, her body was shaking like a prey in the maw of a predator, though she quickly calmed down and understandably tearing SkekMal a new one as she tore into him for scaring her. SkekMal only look like a sulking brute and dropped Y/n in a bit of retaliation, Y/n only mentally flipped him off hard as her mind jabbered together any creative insult she could think of, since she couldn't cuss out loud unless she wanted them to learn the more vulgar expression of insults.

"Alright. I'm heading to my job, you know the routine- no fighting, no prejudice- and no turning the kitchen into a monopoly SkekAyuk! And Hup.... Chamberlain, no sketchy backstabbing shenanigans, SkekMal.... Nothing and the Mystics.... Where are the UrRu?" Y/n blinked once she noticed that the UrRu were no where to be seen. She almost got a heart attack when UrSol unfortunately snuck up on her at the wrong time, Y/n was about to punch him, thinking it was SkekMal.

"Oh god- UrSol I'm so sorry- are you all right? I did not hit you that hard right?" Y/n quickly panicked, genuinely feeling very guilty for hitting UrSol, even if SkekSil was subsequently also felt the pain of that punch.

"No... no, I am.... Alright.... The others.... Are currently....... Exploring.... Further out into the... forest.... Nearby....." UrSol responded as his second pair of hands stretched out with seemingly near slow yet very graceful and fluid movement, like the slow flow of a stream, his long fingers gently grasping Y/n's forearms, yet it felt so lingering as if his hands weren't touching her forearms.

In fact his melodious and calming voice made Y/n almost calm down, key word: almost. Since Y/n was still very worried that she might cause some lasting damage. But what the human did not notice was how the UrRu's eyes near dilate, his aged yet still alive and youthful body warmed from the bashful yet affection filled adoration in his gentle touches. One could not express the concept of this more materialistic and bold UrRu having more than just adoring affections. The near steady curl of the corners of his mouth, his eyes squinted with a twinkle, and his tail seem to slowly sway as if to hide the wagging.

All the while as Y/n was too wrapped up in making sure the impatient mystic was alright, she failed to notice the sheer jealousy of the Skeksis as they glared in near pure envy, even SkekSil, the dark half of UrSol was feeling a bit envious of his lighter counterpart receiving such tender attention, just because of near soothing and gentle voice that made even the most raging currents of the waters of Thra calm with even the gentlest hums.

Even if Y/n didn't realize it, UrSol was just as manipulative as SkekSil, both have a way with their words, while SkekSil had the silver tongue, UrSol's manipulation was much more subtle and more effective due to his voice was so deep and rich, there was a reason why he had two voices. And Y/n just seemed so hypnotized by UrSol's voice that she almost forgotten that she had work, well until the alarm on her phone rang out furiously.

"Sorry- sorry, I got to go now! Alright, I'll check up on you after my shift!" Y/n said as her arms recoiled from UrSol's lingering hold, UrSol only nod as stared after Y/n as the human was quick to rush out of the house to get to her car.

UrSol was more than aware that everyone was staring at him, but what he surprised by, or rather a bit taken aback that UrSu was staring at him, despite UrSu was the unofficial leader of the UrRu and was rather reluctant, right now his stare was like that of SkekSo, even the intimidating Skeksis seem to notice the drop of the room temperature as UrSu just stared at UrSol, the large UrRu's 'stare', soon dissipated into a subtle reluctance but still an wariness and and a little sense of jealousy and near irritation as he soon went off to another part of the house while the other mystics seem to be also wary to the Chanter's presence.

UrSol only hummed, he knew he was going to be seen as competition, not that he was already one, but seen as one of the more dangerous players of the game. UrSol couldn't lie but seeing UrSu's glare made him feel unsettled.

The Chanter only did the same and isolated himself from the others, and while he may lose allies....

"Mmmmm....." A hum from behind, a plotting and manipulative shrill voice as the red robes of Chamberlain following The Chanter.

Well let's just say UrSol's loneliness was short lived.....
