Everyone was talking about their superpowers. I didn't say anything and just kept looking around.
I accidently made eye-contact with emo-joe and immediately looked away. "Students. Students! Students!" Everyone got silent and turned around to look at the headmaster.
"Welcome to Orientation. I am Ms. Knightslinger, the headmaster of Sage Academy. You are here at Sage because you display some measure of innate magical talent.
All of you need guidance and instruction to develop your magic correctly.
The right way. The only way, The Sage Way!"
the headmaster said while using her power. Everyone wowed when she used her magic. "yes, it is all very exciting, I suppose. NOW!" Ms. Knightslinger opened the two doors and said "Sage has five distinct schools, based on the five types of talent." she explained
"Fuzzies who communicate with the animal kingdom.
Flickers, who can make and object come to them with the flick of a hand.
Flares, who can harness the power of fire.
Flyers, who, well, fly.
And Fluxers, who have the power to transform into any animal at will." the headmaster explained.
"Yes! this girl right here! Fluxing butt and taking numbers!" Nory danced making everyone laugh including me
"Are we done?" Ms. Knightslinger said annoyed
"Sorry. I'm a Fluxer. But I'm done now. Not done being a Fluxer, but done talking. Guys tell me to be quiet." Nory rambled
"Nory be quiet." reina and me said quickly "Okie-doke."
"As I was saying, you have a magical talent, and that got you in the door. And by now, you're probably very clear what that talent is and which school you are in." Ms. Knightslinger said
"Fluxer!" Nory raised her hand "Nory!" reina tried to keep Nory quiet.
"Flare!" Nory pointed at reina. "Nory!" This time it was me who said her name.
"Actually y/n what is your power cuz you never told us?" Nory said questionable.
"Nory!" The headmaster said. "Nory, be quiet! Okie-doke." Nory said to herself.
I'm kind of glad that the headmaster interrupted Nory cuz it would have been really awkward if she didn't.
"Moving on. We require all new students to take a placement test, to see if you qualify for our honors level classes." Ms. Knightslinger giggled evily.
Nory, reina and me looked at each other worried.
