"Ah, morning, all." Chief Duggard said as the sun rose in the sky. "Ready for another sunny day here at Huttsgalor?" He paused and looked up when he saw Melodia fly over the village. "Or maybe partly cloudy with a chance of dragon?"
Dak pulled Winger up next to her. "Whatever you do, don't listen to that dragon!" Dak shouted to the watching villagers.
"Cover your ears." Monica added in while Luna made a soft crooning sound.
"And you're sheep's ears, too. Don't forget about your sheep." Burple added in with a shrug.
The vikings looked confused, but then Melodia started singing. She sang a few notes, in a faster tune. But no one reacted.
"Cover our ears?" Duggard asked in confusion. "Why would we do that?" He asked them a raised eyebrow.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa." Meloda started to sing, but the villagers just stared up at her in confusion.
"What's that dragon roaring about, chief?" Elbone asked, sounding very confused.
"Beets me." Duggard said with a shrug.
Cutter laughed and smiled cheekily up at Melodia. "We were worried about nothing. They can't understand her, just like they can't understand us."
Melodia cleared her throat and began again, this time a bit slower. "Sorry, I started in the wrong key. Never sang for humans before." Melodia told them with a small shrug. "Let me try this again." She flew around the Rescue Riders and started again.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa. This song is new, it's just for you. Don't you wanna sing it, too? This song is new, it's just for you. Don't you wanna sing it, too?" She took off and perched on the roof of the great hall. "Dragons and vikings, singing as one. What could be better? What could be more fun? Joining voices, that is the key. For us to be in harmony." Her entourage soon joined in. The vikings soon started dancing.
"Now, that roar, that roar I like." Duggard said as he started to dance.
"I don't have any idea what that dragon is saying, but somehow I know what she means." Hannahr, the village's blacksmith said.
"Chief Duggard, do you have the urge to sing all of a sudden?" Elbone asked while glancing over at the viking chief.
Duggard jumped into the spotlight and joined in the song. "My name is Duggard and I'm here to say. That being chief is how I spend my day. But starting here and now I'm doing something new. I'm gonna sing with this dragon and join her crew."
"Wait for me, chief, I'm coming, too. Cause I've found a new job to do. It's not fishing or farming or maze cave mapping. It's singing and dancing and 11-toe-tapping." Elbone started to dance while rapping a very catchy toon.
"Now is the time. Today's the day. So, sing with me and put all your cares away. Now is the time, today's the day. So, sing with me and put all your cares away." Melodia kept on singing as all of the villagers started clapping and singing along with the music.
"These tools are mine have a new way to shine." Hannahr then proceeded to bang her mallets against some wooden barrels, smashing them so hard that they all broke into peaces.
"It feels so right. It can't be wrong. Can't fight the beat, must sing along." As the villagers continued to sing and clap along to the beat of the song, Melodia smiled even wider.
"Yes, yes, yes, now you're getting it. Sing with me." She praised, then resumed with Aggro, Summer, and Riptide. "Now is the time, today's the day. So, sing with me and put all your cares away. Now is the time, today's the day. To sing with me. Now is the time, today's the day. So, sing with me and put all your cares away." The Rescue Riders just watched and listened. They could do nothing but sit there and watch as all the viking's eyes turned purple.
