It didn't take long for them to plan the trip to goa. The only issue... that they were going by car. It turns out Adi took the whole Spain road trip thing from Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara a little too seriously and was channeling his inner Kabir. Soumya was actually glad though, considering she didn't even have her passport anyway But road trips were definitely not her thing at all. She preferred flights over cars any day because they were just so much more convenient. Who in their right minds would drive for 35 hours rather than fly for 2 and a half hours. Adi, that's who. But who was she to deny the groom so she reluctantly started packing.
On the day of the trip she opted to wear just a pair of black sweats and a white tank top. Nothing to showy considering she'd be stuck in a car for a ridiculous amount of time and wanted to be comfortable. She noticed that all the others were dressed similarly and she had to admit, Veer looked ridiculously good in casuals. A little too good actually. The T-shirt he was wearing did nothing to conceal the muscles she'd seen that day in the rain. A part of her wanted to see them again.
No! Bad Somi!
They all stood in the hotel lobby waiting for Adi, who was bringing their mode of transportation. Knowing Adi, it was not going to be a car. And boy was she right. A few minutes later they heard an engine making its way inside the gates and sure enough a large sleek black and white bus made its way through the entrance.
Normally she hated Adi's stupid ideas but this time even Soumya was amazed. The interior screamed luxury, with its large cushioned couches and arrays of bunkbeds. Soumya counted. The bunk beds plus the large bed in the back could fit at least 6 people. Not to mention both couches pulled out into double beds, meaning they had the space for 10 people to travel freely.
They all ran inside claiming their spots. Soumya was a hogger when she slept, so she opted for a bunk with Shreya with Ishi on the other side of them. Vani and Aryan took the bedroom, leaving the boys the couches. They could deal with that however they pleased. It turns out Adi got to sleep by himself because he played the " I paid for it " card. Perks of being rich.
" Toh chale. " Soumya asked after they all settled in. ( So shall we go? )
" Ek minute, Advika abhi tak aaye nahi hai. " Ishi told her with disgust. ( One minute, Advika isn't here yet. )
Great. She'd almost forgotten that that chudail was coming too. After Ishi had broached the subject of the trip with her parents, Kamini aunty had created a whole fuss over it. In her eyes it wasn't right for Ishi and Adi to go on a trip together alone. The only way she'd caved was when they agreed to take Advika with them. Soumya didn't really mind, as long as Advika kept in her limits they'd be good.
Advika chose to arrive at that moment. Speak of the devil. She boarded the bus looking like she'd walked out from a magazine in a mini skirt and crop top. She had her hair immaculately curled and wore a pair of sunglasses on her head. If that weren't bad enough she brought along too large suitcases with her, almost twice the amount of luggage Soumya had brought.
" Tumhe pata hai na ki hum sirf ek hafte ke liye jaa rahe hai, ek mahine ke liye nahi " Shreya told her. ( You know we're only going for a week not a month. )
" Mujhe pata hai, isiliye I packed light. " Advika replied whilst twirling a strand of her hair with her fingers. ( I know, that's why I packed light. )
Soumya rolled her eyes. This trip just got a hell lot more interesting.
They'd only been driving for approximately 30 minutes when Soumya realized Veer was avoiding her. He hadn't spoken a word to her since the dinner. At first she'd thought it was a coincidence, but he was also actively staying as far away from her as possible on the bus. Everytime she made a move to talk to him he'd make up some kind of excuse and go away again. If that weren't bad enough, that stupid chudail was clinging onto him, continuously twirling her hair in her fingers as if it would make him fall in love with her. He wasn't even trying to stop her either. Fine, be that way, Soumya thought. If he didn't wanna talk to her, she wouldn't either.
