"Ellie is it ready?"

"It's ready."

"On our way." Jungkook hung up as they took the trolley to the lab. Kai insisted on putting the coordinates in since he was tired of forgetting stuff. Jungkook didnt let him so Kai had to watch from the corner of his eye.

When they arrived at the lab, Jungkook took Kai's hand and dragged him to a small labratory within it.

Kai saw an old woman with the name plate "Ellie Kim" on the door.

Jungkook pointed at her and said "this is Ellie Kim. Namjoon's mother. Namjoon is the lead scientist here. You'll meet him one day but not now. We need to get going."

Kai saw his knife on the table. He didnt think he would ever see it again. He remembered it being thrown into the dust and left there for good.

Ellie handed it to him saying "I made a couple of improvements per the commander's request."

"Improvements?"

"Yes. We coated it in a shielding agent so the dust can't harm it. The charge on the knife is also stronger, it'll deal a higher volt to the target if you so wish it to. You only hand to press your thumb on the bolt icon if you want to activate it in your throws."

"Still split into 7 blades?"

Ellie nodded. "Yes general. The metal is unique to the knife. I wasnt able to make improvements on that aspect but your handle is now 10% heavier so you can have a better grip in your throws."

"Im assuming its heavier because of the improved electron activators inside?"

"Yes sir. Very good sir. But the weight will help you. Not that you need it of course... sir..."

Kai held it up to the light to see it in it's shiny glory. "Can I test it?"

"Of course! Follow me."

They followed Ellie to a room filled with electronic white boards with formulas and photos the couple couldnt even begin to understand. "Pardon me gentlemen. I'll switch it to a target practice area thing so you can test it dear general."

She typed a few things into the computer and the white boards went away. Familiar yellow holographic men appeared in their place. Kai counted 15. They formed a circle around him and made a fighting stance.

Jungkook stood off to the side and asked "you ready?"

"Start it."

Without hesitation, Kai fired into the first 7 in front of him. He recalled the blades back as he slid forward into the cleared space. He then turned around and fired at the closest one to his left. The gap was getting smaller so he took off to the left.

3 holograms were closing in on him so he threw the blades into those three and held the bolt. The holograms began to electrify in place.

Kai recalled the blades back and finished off the last 5. It was over in less than 3 minutes.

Jungkook got a front row seat to what he viewed on video of Kai in the stadium. Every legend about him was true. The globe knew it and now the subterranean was starting to as well. He smirked and asked "satisfied with the upgrades?"

Kai looked at his knife again and twirled it in his hands. "Very. Ready to go get a formula?"

"Always baby." Jungkook walked to the code room in his office. Kai watched him type his personal code in which opened the garage. The garage had another pinpad which needed a seperate code to open the hatch. No code was less than 8 digits. This one, the one to the hatch, was 10.
