Love, y/n

Chapter One

As I follow my new group of friends and coworkers into the room with everyone else, I prepare myself to meet all new people.

"Everyone, meet Y/n" Natasha announces as we walk through the door. She points to each new face, telling me their names.

Nice words all around, "Hello Y/n, we have heard so much about you. Don't worry all good things!" Tony said with a smile.

"Hello Y/n, nice to meet you" Steve said

"Hi everyone. I am so glad to finally be here" I express with a smile, looking around I notice a guy with long dark hair, Nat said his name is Bucky, looking at me causing me to slightly blush. He looked at me with uncertainty, I just looked past it and paid attention to Vision.

"You will meet the others later. This is Wanda" He pointed to a shorter reddish/brown haired girl, "And I am Vision"

I look over towards Bucky when I hear "Hi Y/n"

"Hello Bucky" Is all I can think to say back.

A few hours later, it is getting late in the day so I go up to my room to wash up and get ready to turn in for the night. 

I walk into my room, not decorated by me, but I'm not complaining because it is very nice. It is a Queen sized bed with a desk, closet, plus a bathroom. It's not like I will be spending much time here anyways, with work and all.

After having a shower I notice the time is about ten o'clock, so I lay down in this soft and cozy bed and slowly, very slowly, drift off into a short lived sleep.

1 AM~

I am woken up out of my light sleep to the sound of screaming. I walk out of my bedroom to find where is is coming from. Bucky's room.

I run in there trying to softly shake him awake "Bucky you need to wake up! It's just a dream! You are safe! You are safe, I promise"

As soon as he wakes up and sits up it's like he's in a trance. He jolts up and grabs a hold of my throat.

"Bucky, please. Bucky you're hurting me, please." I said lifting my arm to his, trying to pull him away from my throat.

Once he sees that it is me and realizes what he had done, he started to profusely apologize "I'm so sorry Y/n. I-I didn't mean to" he pulls away

"It's okay, Bucky. I know you didn't mean it. I know what it's like to be haunted by your past. I'm sorry I scared you. I'll leave now, I'm sorry" I say grabbing his hands

When I try to stand up to leave, he says "You don't have to go. Please stay with me."

I was a bit taken a back, but more than happy to stay with him tonight; "I would be happy to stay" I told him.

I slowly climb into his bed and under the covers next to him. He then gently and tentatively pulls me into him, with his arms around me. 

In the morning, I wake up and turn my head to see Bucky is already awake.

"Good morning, doll" he says smiling, making my stomach flutter.

"We should probably get up before everyone wonders where we are" I tell him

"Probably. The doesn't mean I want to. I can honestly say that is the best I've slept since before the Winter Soldier"

I was glad me being there with him helped him sleep, but I was hungry.

"Well I'm also quite hungry" I say, using his thigh to help me up "You coming soldier?"

"Okay, doll. You win" He stands up and pulls off his shirt as he walks into his closet.

I just can't help but to watch him do this, clearly he takes a notice to this and looks at me, causing me to blush and look away.

"I-I'll let you get dressed. I'll see you downstairs, Buck" I give him a shy smile as I walk out, my heart pounding in my chest.

"I'll see you downstairs, doll" I heard him say just as I walked out

I sat at the breakfast table with my food in front of me, I just couldn't help but think of him. What was he doing to me? All I could think about was kissing him. Everything about him is just perfect.

I'm snapped out if my daydreaming when I hear Nat talking "So Y/n. What happened with Bucky last night?" she asked.

"N-Nothing. What do you mean" I accidentally stuttered over my words, why would think anything about me and Bucky?

Thor winked at me as Steve started to speak, "I went to check on Bucky last night. And I saw you two" he said causing Nat to smile and Loki to laugh a bit.

"Wait! Bucky finally has a girlfriend?" Spiderling, aka Peter asked excitedly 

"He was just having a nightmare and I couldn't sleep so I was keeping him company!" I tried to explain myself as my face turned bright red

Earning looks from Wanda and Tony as Bucky comes down the stairs saying "It's not a big deal, guys" 

"Come on guys, give us a break! We just wanted to spend some time together" we said at the same time

"You barely know her, Buck" Steve spoke up

No one said anything else as we all end up in the living room, sitting on the sofas

"Y/n, you need to tell us who you are. What's your story?" Steve asks

"I was taken by Hydra as a child, from my mother. I was her only family. They killed her in front of me" I started, when everyone stayed quiet I continued "They took me to a facility, and hooked me up to needles. All I remember is ice flowing through my veins, and then nothing" I hadn't realized I started crying, but I wiped the tears away.

Everyone was still quiet but gave their sympathetic looks. I felt like I should continue, so I did "They woke me up, put me in armor and sent me to a cage with a bunch of people. They made me kill them all. If I didn't they would electrocute me. They called me Soldier475"

At this point, everyone looked ready to kill someone, especially Bucky.

I just continued "When I was trained fully, they sent me to a room with a man who had a silver arm with a red star. They made us fight. He won. They went to kill me. But... he saved me. The Winter Soldier. He blocked me from them and grabbed my hand and ran. We got outside and he pushed me so hard I flew to the other side of the clearing. He said-"

"Run! Run and don't ever look back" Bucky said

I just look at him in utter shock. I didn't know what else to so I just ran, I ran to my room and began to uncontrollably sob. I hear Bucky come up behind me

"I'm so sorry, love. I should have told you. I was hoping you wouldn't have to find out. Find out that I was a monster"

I could tell looking in his eye, he wanted to cry. He pulls me into his arms and hugs me. He placed his face so close to mine, that my tears landed on his cheeks.

"I never want to hurt you" he said

"You didn't, Buck. You saved me. You saved me when no one else would" I tell him, taking his hand in mine, clutching it close to my heart "It's okay, Buck. It's okay"

He picks me up and carries me to the bed, gently laying me down. He lays down next to me and gently strokes my hair. 

He smiles at me, God that smile gets me. He slips his hand to my neck and pulls me to him. His lips meet mine. It's a soft kiss, he is surprisingly gentile. The kiss was filled with something I can't quite explain, soft, gentile, and sweet all in one.

A little while later we wind up falling into a peaceful, wrapped up in each others arms.
