Elise enters the kitchen at eight AM to see Specs still in his alien-patterned pyjamas, preparing breakfast for her, himself and Tucker. He is not stressed trying to flip the pancakes at all, and is quietly humming to himself.
Elise emerges from behind, making sure not to scare him. "Morning, Specs. What has got you in a good mood?"
Specs turns to face her. "Hmm? Uh, nothing. Your coffee's on the table."
Elise takes her seat and seems satisfied with the taste of her coffee. Specs has mastered making it how she likes it. Tucker needs more practice. He rarely even makes breakfast anyway.
Specs places the plate stacked with pancakes on the middle of the table and takes his seat opposite Elise. She stares at him, knowing exactly what is going on with him. "You met someone last night, didn't you?"
Specs swallows hard, attempting not to blush. "I...uh, yeah I kind of did."
Elise begins to beam and nudges him playfully. "What did you get up to, huh? I'm sure you had fun..." Specs gasps. "Oh God not like that! We just chatted for a while and exchanged numbers. Her name's Delia and she's probably the nicest girl I've come across in a long time."
Elise continues to smile, extremely happy for him. "Bet you're glad you went out last night. That's great Specs. Are you going to meet up again?"
Specs nods with more certainty than expected. "Yeah, I mean I hope so."
Tucker suddenly enters the room groaning, his hand on his head. "Holy shit I am so hungover. Luckily, I smelled pancakes as they are the only thing that can cure it."
The two can't help but giggle. "Good morning to you too, Tucker," Elise remarks. "Specs has something to tell you."
Specs' cheeks are now flushing a bright red. "What? No I don't."
Tucker takes a seat, and leans in as if he's about to hear a huge secret. "Tell us, who'd you sleep with?"
Specs rolls his eyes. "Not you as well! I just met the girl working at the bar and I like her. So what?"
"So what?" Tucker repeats. "This is what I wanted for you Specs! It's been three years since the last girl who I've already forgotten her name broke your heart and its about time you got over her with someone new."
"I got over her a long time ago," Specs tells Tucker. "I just haven't drawn myself to girls like her and Delia is definitely not like her at all. Yeah she's from a rough background, but she's friendly and kind."
"So are you, Specs," Elise butts in. "Delia's very lucky she met you." Specs smiles, loving Elise's motherly compliment. "Thanks Elise."
Elise takes her so-called-son's hand. "Just don't let her hurt you. You don't deserve that."
"Neither does she," Specs responds. "Her long-time boyfriend cheated on her yesterday. She doesn't seem too upset, but it still must hurt. I know how it feels."
Elise nods. "Yeah, but you never know, she could be your soulmate, like Jack was to me."
"Woah, okay let's not think that far ahead," Specs chuckles. "I'm gonna change the subject? Any recent cases, Elise?"
Elise shakes her head. "Not yet, Specs. Thankfully, astral projection is much less common these days, but I'm still keeping an eye out."

Delia has been feeling unwell all morning. It doesn't seem to be a physical sickness but more the symptoms of last nights dream, or whatever that was. She had smoked a cigarette to see if that would calm her down, but it didn't work.
She falls back onto her bed and sighs. She then reaches for her phone, deciding to text Specs. He had already texted her earlier.
S: Hi Delia. Hope u slept well :)
Delia finds herself giggling, flattered by his compliment. She didn't sleep well at all, but that's not the point.
D: Ur too sweet. I did thanks. Wua?
As she waits for a response, there is a loud knock on her door. She goes to answer it, puzzled as she didn't recall inviting anyone, unless it was Specs. She'd let him in instantly.
Unfortunately, it is Jonah. She closes the door in his face, not having any time for him. "Fuck off, man."
Jonah blocks the door with his hands. "No, wait, wait! Let me explain!"
"There's nothing to explain!" Delia argues back, shoving him away from the apartment and into the hallway. "You're just too much of a coward to admit you fucked up."
Jonah scowls, his veins bulging from his neck as the tensions rise. "I'm aware I fucked up. I was drunk and felt the urge to have sex with someone else. But I promise you, it was a mistake." He approaches Delia, attempting to pull her close to him. "You know how much I love y-"
Delia harshly pushes him away before he can finish. "No the fuck you don't! If you loved me, you would've fought that urge, drunk or not. You're a stupid-ass dick and I never want to see you again."
Jonah's fists clench in anger. Delia doesn't care in the slightest. What-ever he says or does, he will be in the wrong no matter what.
"I was so good to you!" he then snaps. "You're willing to let all of that go over one tiny mistake?"
Delia nods, one hundred percent certain. "Yep. If you hadn't done what you did, we'd still be together you clueless little shit. Don't try to blame this on me. Besides, I've already met someone else so."
Jonah's jaw drops. "You...YOU WHAT?"
"Get out. I never want to see you again. The exit's that way, goodbye," Delia responds quickly, before finally shutting the door in his face and locking it.
She collapses on her bed again as he calls out to her for five minutes or so, before giving up and presumably going back to that blondie. "Fuck him," Delia mutters as her phone goes off again. Thankfully, it is Specs.
S: Nothing much. Just made breakfast for Elise and Tucker. Had a nice, quiet morning. Wbu?
D: My ex just showed up, trying to justify is actions. What a fucking idiot
S: Oh God. My ex girlfriend did the same...tried to blame me for what she did. Anyway, dont let it bother u. Ur worth much more than that
D: Ur so cute. Ty
S: Of course. If ur not busy or anything, would you like to meet up this afternoon? Only if you want to
D: Id love that. We can grab lunch in the cafe beside the bar. They do nice stuff there
S: Cool. Will go with 2?
D: 2 is perf
S: Great! Ill see u then. Cant wait!
D: Ye same. See u then
Delia sighs happily after that interaction. Meeting up with Specs is everything she needs after last night and this morning's events.
