chapter 6: the party to remember and the first of many dates

It's been a year since Artemis and Willow broke up and it was the best thing to happen to Willow. 

She rejoined the team as Kid flash. Which was kind of fun. She had to go through the ranks again and she had to remember all the new members' names. But you know. 

She started talking to Dixie again even though it was hard not to tell her about her feelings or kiss her. 

Willow was having the time of her life. Everything was perfect once again and Willow loved every part of this. It was awesome. 

Anyway for the last 6 months, Willow has been teaming up with Barbara and Jason to plan Dixie's 18th birthday party. The party needed to be perfect. Because Dixie is perfect. So Willow was putting everything she could into this party. She had book and paied (with the help of Bruce) for a massive multi purpose building. The first floor was for food and presents. The second floor was full of trapeze and gymnastic stuff. The third floor was like a nightclub. The fourth and final floor was set up for people to sleep if they were too drunk to go home.  

The first floor had a kitchen for cooking the food. Then in another room there was a massive table for all the presents to be put on. There was rainbow streamers everywhere. In another room there was the food table where all the food was being placed for people to come pick up some food whenever they are hungry. Also on this floor, there is a quiet relaxation room for people when they party gets too much. The room was filled with books, figetsts, blackets (of different types), cushions, different typez seats and a ton of other sensory room and quiet room things. 

The second floor was one massive and tall room. The room was filled with different gymnastic equipment and trapeze equipment. All with nets and safety equipment attacked to make sure no one drunkenly gets hurt or gets hurt by doing something they don't know what to do. Everyone under 18 aren't allowed past this floor And the security Barbara got was going to make sure of that. 

The third floor had one massive room, a couple of bathrooms and a couple of small side rooms. The main room was filled with different strobe lighting and speakers. There were different levels with a couple of tables. There was a massive area to dance. In the main room there was also a massive bar full of every type of alcoholic drink. Jason had used Bruce's money to hire Dixie's favourite DJ to come and play all of Dixie's favourite songs. One of the back rooms was a karaoke room with a massive screen and a seat area. The other two small rooms were just "cool down" zones.  

The fourth and final floor was filled with tons of different rooms with beds inside and bedside tables. The top floor was there just for people to sleep if they got too drunk to go home. Or that's what Willow had planned it for. The 12 year old Jason Todd near it was going to be used for something else. He may be 12 but he lived on the streets with drug dealer parents, he knows what goes on with nightclubs (he sneaked into so many).  

This party was going to be perfect for Dixie and Willow wasn't going to let anything ruin it. 

After a long wait, the 1st December finally rolled around. Meaning it was finally Dixie's 18th birthday.  

Dixie spent the day time with Bruce, Alfred and Jason celebrating his birthday as a family and also visiting his parents graves. While Dixie was spending the day with his family, Willow snuck all Dixie's guests into the building. It was a surprise party after all. Dixie has a lot of friends so Willow was so happy that they got a massive building. Just to name a few of the people of the guest list: 

Everyone who used to be a teen titan.

The team 

The justice league  

People from the police academy 

Will (Clone Roy) and his daughter  

Artemis.

Selena Kyle 

And that's only to name a few of the guest list. Dixie has a lot of friends. 

Anyway when it finally hit 6pm, Dixie finally arrived at the building. Everyone had hid on the first floor to surprise her. Even if she had worked out what was happening ages ago. But what's the fun in spoiling the surprise. So she let everyone surprise her and great her. 

The nightclub floor wouldn't open up untill 7:30pm. So everyone spent an hour and half connecting with each other and having fun doing acrobats.

But the party didn't truly start until the night club opened up. The minors tried sneaking up but they couldn't. The whole building was filled with energy and amazement. The party was awesome. Everyone was having the time of their lives. Everyone was drinking. It was awesome. Willow could tell Dixie was loving everything. Though with the amount of drinking everyone is doing, I doubt they'll remember this night in the morning. 

However, there was one bit of this party that Willow will never forget even if everyone else did.  

It was 11pm. The kids had gone home. Most of the league had to leave because they had a justice league thing to do. So it was mostly the titans and older team members left in the night club. 

Willow was sat on the balcony watching as Dixie danced to her most favourite song ever. She was beautiful. The way she moved. The way her smile lit up the room and her face. The way her eyes were glittering in the light. Willow just wanted to get up and go kiss her. But she couldn't because Dixie was well and truly drunk and willow was sober. Willow didn't want to take advantage of that. So Willow just sat stared and imagined dancing with her and kissing her on that dance floor. 

Willow must have been to lost in her imagination because the next thing she knew was she was being dragged to the dance floor by Dixie and for some reason a slow song was on. Willow never gave this song to the DJ. She was just about to go complain when Dixie wrapped her arms around Willow, looked into Willow's eyes and said "Dance with me". Willow couldn't say no to that so she put her arms around Dixie and slow danced with her. They stared into each others eyes as they danced. Their bodies getting closer together as the song goes on untill Dixie's head is on Willow's chest. Just as the song was ending, Dixie pulled away. Willow had to stop herself from pulling Dixie back. But Dixie seemed to notice because she grabbed onto Willow's face and pulled her head down into a massive loving kiss. The kiss lasted a couple of seconds before Willow pulled away. "Why did you pull away? I know you like that. Come on Willow. I'm 18 now and your 20. We can be together" Dixie begged. Willow let go of her but didn't look out of her eyes. "You're drunk. I don't know if this is really you." 

"Ok I'll pick you up tomorrow at 2 for a date when I'm sober to prove this really is me" 

And with that Dixie walked away. Willow refused to believe that Doxie would remember that promise and pick her up tomorrow but she had some hope that she would. She so badly wanted this. 

The next day Willow was proved wrong. She had been woken by a knocking on her door at 3pm when only to find Dixie dressed nicely at the door. 

"Are you going on our date dressed in your PJs?"

Willow had to quickly change at super speed. 

Anyway, Dixie ended up taking Willow to the cinema to see a movie both her and Willow have been wanting to see for so long. It was amazing. After the cinema, Dixie took willow to a romantic restaurant and paid for everything (no matter how much Willow protested). 

"I asked you out on this date, I pay. You ask me out on a date, then you can pay if you want" 

This was the best either of them had ever had and Willow of course asked Dixie out of more dates.
