the life of a Greyson-West

chapter 8: the promise

It's been 5 very long years since the tragady of Jason Todd's death. A lot of things can happen in 5 years. A lot of things. 5 years is a long time so that's understandable. But before I throw you into today, I'll catch you up on everything from the last 5 years.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~1st year~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

After Jason's died as Robin, Bruce had to bury an empty grave for Robin 2.0 and had to bury Bruce. Bruce of course paided for the public memorial/funeral for Robin. But Jason was buryed in the wayne family grave site that's on the wayne property. You could say Jason's funeral was a private one. But it wasn't really. Bruce didn't tell anyone.  He just barried Jason and continued like nothing had happened. Dixie got into a fight with Bruce when she found out about this.  

It didn't take long for Bruce to replace Jason and give Dixie's name to another child. 2 months after Jason's death, the 3rd Robin was made. The 3rd Robin was a teenager called Tim Drake. Tim drake was a well off child but he is one hell of a defective and a hige fan of the greyson's and of Nightwing. So it was no surprise wheb Tim drake found the back cave, worked out who batman, Nightwing and the old robin was and demanded to be the new Robin. Batman refused but Tim showed up to battle as Robin so Bruce had no choice.  

A month aftter the new robin started fighting crime, the joker repaired. The very same joker Dixie killed. Dixie was so angry when she found out. She and Bruce got in the biggest fight ever. This fight is how she found out that Bruce had Brought Joker back to life with the Lazarus pit to stop Dixie being a murder. "SO YOU BRING BACK YOUR ARCH ENEMY BUT NOT YOUR FOSTER SON, MY LITTLE BROTHER?!" 

Also that month, Barabra steped down from being Batgirl, the hero she became when her and Dixie were in high school. She stepped down because she wanted to focus on work. She did give Bruce the person to train a new bat girl though. 

Five months after Jason's death, everyone received shocking news. It turns out that Ra's al Ghul had stole Jason's body (soon after he died) and bought Jason back to life. Jason went into bloodlust after being bought back. He killed every one in sight. It took 4 months for him to get his bloodlust under control. He then spent a month training with the league of assiasins. He then came to Gotham, toon the name Red Hood and started killing mov bosses. It took ages for Dixie, Bruce and Tim to get their Jason back. Jason still hates Bruce and still kills people but hey at least he's part of the bat family again.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~2nd  year~~~~~~~~~~~~ 

To start the year off, Tim got a girlfriend. Her name is Stephanie Brown. She even has her own hero persona. She's known as spoiler. However theres one thing thats off about her. She's the daughter of the Toy master, a villian in Gotham. So no one trusted her at first but they slowly warmed up to her. So the bat family gained a new member. 

Stephanie wasn't the only new member to the bat family. No at the begining of the year the group found out that batman had been training a league of assassin member to be Batgirl. But no just any member. No the daughter of David Cain and Lady Shiva who both only taught her how to fight and trained her not to feel pain. So she didn't know things like how to read and write. Her name was Cassandra Cain and she was the new Batgirl. Bruce of course legally adopted her, just like he did with Tim (which he didn't do with the two actual orphans he took in). 

Something horrible happened that year though. Joker and Harley kidnapped Tim (as Robin) and turned him into theor son. He became a mini joker called Joker Jr. It was horrific and traumatiseing. No one knows how Bruce got Tim back to being Tim after he saved him. But what everyone does know, is that Tim quit being Robin, moved out and became Red Hood. The title Robin was passed to Stephanie. So there was still a Robin for Batman.  

Soon after this, Cassandra also quit being Batgirl. No one knew why but she became Black Bat and disappeared. 

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~3rd year~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 

This year started off horribly. Everyone was still griving the disappearance of Cassandra when Joker turned up at Barabra's home and shot her. The bullet logged in her spin leaving her paralysed from the hips down. She could no longer walk. After months of therapy and physically therapy, Barabra found a way she could be helpfull to everyone. She become Orical. She was basically the woman in the chair for the whole bat family. She's able to hack everything she was awesome. 

After this indecent, Stephanie stopped being Robin and became Batgirl. She had only been Robin for 71 days mind you. Though the incident wasn't the real reason she became batgirl. No the real reason was because everyone thought she had been killed. Well she had been but her father bought her back to life. So to save the questions, she became Batgirl. 

That year Bruce got the shock of his life.  He foumd out that his memory laps from 11 years ago isn't because of age, no its because Talia al ghul (Daughter of Ra's al Ghul) did something to him and now 11 years latter he found out he had a son with Talia called Damian. They only reason he was told about Damian though is because Ra's al Ghul had been killed and Talia basically wanted to get rid of Damian. Anyway, after tons and tons of fights with Damian. And damian trying to kill Deathstroke on his own, Bruce made him the 5th Robin. 

That year Willow promosed to Dixie after a very romantic date so of course Dixie said yes and they became fiance's. They also finally moved into a house in bloodhaven. A house which had 3 guest bedrooms. 

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~4th year~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 

The only import part of this year is that Dixie forced Damian to join the nearly re-grouped Teen Titans because he needed it. He nearly got the whole justice league killed because he didn't know how to work as a Team. So Damian was forced to join the team to learn how to work with a team and to trust people. 

~~~~~~~~~~5th year/this year~~~~~~~~~~~

At the beginning of the year, Damian met Jonathan (or Jon) Kent aka the son of Clark Kent and Lois Lane. The 10 year old had recently started coming into his powers so Clark thought it be  good idea that they meet. U3Even though they argue a lot, get into a lot of fights and get hurt a lot, the boys soon become friends. Jon becomes superboy with the help of Damian. Though Damian was a bad influence at times. Like when he forced Jon to sneak out in the middle of the night to go on dangerous missions. But theu balince each other out.  And they are good for each other. 

This brings us up to now. 

The wedding of Dixie Greyson and Willow West. 

Bruce Wayne had paied for everything.

They were getting married in this lovely chapel thats very hard to get into but with bruce's money they got in. 

All of Dixie's and Willow's friend's and family were invited so there was tons and tons of guests coming because Dixie has a big family and a lot of friend.  

Willow wore a lovly white suit and put her long ginger hair into a high pony tail. She looked gorgeous. Her father was unable to walk her down the isle because he could no longer walk so instead Barry did the houners.  

Dixie wore a black dress that went to her knees at the font and her anckes at the back. The dress was loose fitting and was a heart shape chest piece. Dixie kept her hair short so she put a headband on. Dixie didn't want anyone to walk her down the isle became her dad couldn't so she walked herself down the isle. 

The ceremony was beautiful. They even wrote their own vows. 

"Rachel Mary Grayson, you are the most amazing person in the world. I know im going to get in trouble later for using your full name. Ever since i met you when i was 12 and you was 13, I have felt contacted to you. And now you are 26 and I'm 28 and that connection only grew. I may not have always known it but that connect was love. I love you with all my heart. So I hope you take this ring full of love and wonder for our future together and cherish it. Because thats how I feel towards you and tjat feeling will only grow as we grow and as our family grows bigger" 

"Willow West, you are in so much trouble for using mu full name. Just be glad I love you. And i have loved you ever since I was 13. Evan though this love hid itself as hate and anger and jealousy. I still love you with all my heart and being. You are the best thing to ever happen to me Willow and i hope together we can make even more happy things happen. I love you and this ring is my promise that i will always love you even if we hit hard times. No matter what i promise to love you" 

Willow and Dixie finally became Mrs and Mrs Greyson-West.
