Many months later

Garcia, Hotch, his wife (Haley), myself, Reid, and the new agent at the BAU were sat around a table at the local bar. Her name was Emily Prentiss and the two of us had quickly become close. The Super Bowl had just ended and we were sat talking.

I had gotten the courage to break up with Michael about a month ago after he had tried to hit on McKenna. Speaking of Kenna, she had recently been offered a position with the ASIO (Australian Security Intelligence Organization) and had recently transferred. It was sad to see her go but it was an incredible opportunity for her.

I had volunteered to get drinks for everybody and was making my was past Morgan, dancing, surrounded by women, as usual. "Hey Morgan be careful! The one in the back can take your wallet!" I called.

"That's alright I'll be a broke, happy man!" He called back. I laughed and set down everybody's drink. "Thank you" everyone took their drink. "So how are they treating you at the BAU Emily?" Haley asked. "She means am I being nice to you." Hotch corrected.

"Actually, everyone's been incredibly nice." She responded.

"Just look at him move. He's like a cat." We looked over at Garcia, whose gazed was fixed on Morgan. Hotch laughed. "More like a dog!" Emily said. "He did not ask them to dance." Garcia defended. "They asked him."

"Ok! He's a cat!" Emily said. "More like an alley cat." I said. "Honey let's go show em how it's done." Hotch let Haley over to the crowd. "That is so sweet!" Emily said. "I'm going to the loo." Garcia set down her drink. "Do not let anyone steal my seat."

"I'll guard it with my life." Prentiss said sarcastically. I looked over to JJ who was throwing darts with a couple of guys and looked back to Spence. I leaned my head on his shoulder. "I have a headache." I said. He put his arm around me. Morgan came up to us. "Well look at the happy couple!" He commented. I blushed and picked my head up off of Spence's shoulder.

JJ appeared.

"We have a case."

"Ya know it never fails." Morgan said, setting his coffee on the conference table. "Just as i'm getting my groove thing going, bam, we're back at the BAU." He said.

"You know, statistically a case doesn't come in with any more frequency if you're at a party or a gathering and if you aren'T.

It's a trick of the mind.

We merely remember the ones that came in that way more." Reid pointed out, setting my coffee in front of me. I took a sip. He literally memorized how I take it. I smiled.

"Besides, is it really that hard for you to get your groove 'thang' going again?" Emily said. Garcia giggled.

"Only when he's asleep." Gideon walked in.

"Where were you tonight?" Hotch asked.

"I told you I went to the Smithsonian." Gideon replied, sitting down.

"You missed a good time" Prentiss said.

"I had a good time." He said.

"Well that's definitely over." JJ said, walking in.

"Georgia, the Kyle's Dennis and Lacey were murdered an hour ago in their suburban Atlanta home." She continued.

"An hour ago?" Hotch asked.

"Police were on the scene unusually fast." She replied.

"Why?" I asked.

"One of the unsubs called police and told them the other was about to murder the victims." She said.

"You're kidding." Morgan said.

"From inside the house." JJ replied. "The dispatcher said the first male sounded terrified and begged them to get there because the other, who they both identified as Rafael, was about to kill the sinners that lived there."

She brought up a picture of the victims.

"He also left behind this." JJ brought up a picture of a page from the bible. Highlighted was Revelations chapter 6 verse 8.

"These guys are on a mission." Derek said.

"Wheels up in 30." Hotch said.

I looked at Spence over my cards. I caught him staring back at me, trying to read my expression.

"Three cards." I said. He dealt me my cards. "Three cards, for the lady." I smiled.

"And... i'm gonna take one card."

"Ooh. One card. Straight or a flush Dr. Reid what are you trying to fill in?" I asked.

"wELL considering the odds of filling a straight with one card are 5 to 1 against, well, a one card flush draw is more like 4.5 to one I guess you'd say if I was smart, i'm drawing to a flush." He replied.

I raised both eyebrows.

"I think i'm gonna go all in on this." He pushed all of his peanuts to the middle of the table. I gave him a 'seriously' look and he gave me a vacant smile/smirk.

I narrowed my eyes and pushed all my peanuts in as well.

"So. Are you?" I asked, sitting back.

"Am I drawing to a flush or am I smart?" He asked.

"Either."

"Well, I'm provably a genius." He said, I gave a small laugh.

"But.. uh, actually, I was drawing to a full house, 8's over 6's." He said.

I sighed. "I always forget you're from Vegas." I said.

He smiled "YUP!" and he started to take all the peanuts. "OH I'm sorry not so fast." He looked up at me, curious.

"I too have a boat, jacks over threes." I laid down my cards.

"Wait you drew three cards to a full house?! That's like a hundred to one against?!" He said.

Morgan walked over.

"97 to 1, looks like you're OUT." I raked over the peanuts. Spence looked up at Derek, amazed.

I got up and walked over to get coffee.

I heard Reid mumble behind me.

"I never lose."
