Emma squirmed in the back of the Impala. The binds around her wrists were biting into her skin and the more she moved the tighter they got. Dean had shown no mercy while tying her up and the bit of cloth in her mouth was dry and severely uncomfortable. She tried to distract herself by gazing out of the window. At least they hadn't blindfolded her. Suddenly they hit a pothole and Emma felt her body falling forward. She couldn't catch herself because her hands were bound and Dean hadn't had the decency to seatbelt her in the seat. She fell fast and a small scream escaped her gagged mouth as her forehead struck the back of Sam's seat. They both turned to look and she shot them a look of hate as she tried to sit back in the seat. "Maybe we should help her?" Offered Sam, the more empathetic of the brothers.
"No" Dean answered sternly. "She can help herself." Emma shot him an even more hateful look and he stared back unbothered. She heard Sam sigh as she struggling back into her seat. She leaned her head against the door and stared out at the trees rushing by. It seemed like they were driving forever. Her thoughts overtook her and somehow her exhaustion and fear caused her to fall into a fitful sleep the hum of the car singing in the background as they drove.
Two hours later she was awoken abruptly by a hand on her shoulder. Her eyes flew open and met Dean's green gaze. His eyes seemed to linger on her face with an almost gentle look before his face changed and his jaw became straight and angry again. His hand closed around her arm and she was yanked from the backseat into the light of a new day. She squinted in the sunlight as she attempted to view her surroundings. It was a gas station seemingly in the middle of nowhere. The sun beat down and the air was dry. They were the only ones there other than a very confused-looking gas station clerk who Sam was currently trying to convince that he and his brother were investigators who had detained her.
Dean looked down at her for a moment and then reached out and ripped the gag from her mouth. Emma coughed and nearly lost her balance as he pulled her closer to his body. His deep voice whispered down at her. "Not a word out of you." "Got it?" She nodded as he shoved her toward the gas station. Sam walked out the door and almost collided with them. He looked down at her with a slightly concerned look.
"Do you need to uh, use the bathroom or anything?" She nodded. And they stood there still for a moment. "Dean?" Sam hinted and gestured toward her bound hands. "She can't use the bathroom tied up."
"Fine." He growled. "But no funny business." "And if you try to escape, I will shoot you." Emma nodded again and jumped a little as he produced a pocket knife and cut her binds. She immediately rubbed her raw wrists and tried not to look at Dean as Sam led her to the women's bathroom.
"Here you go." He said as he gestured toward the door.
"Thanks." She disappeared into the bathroom and stared at herself in the mirror for a moment. She could hear their muffled voices behind the door. Probably deciding what to do with her. Maybe they would just kill her and get it over with. Where were they taking her? She gazed at the dirt staining her face. Her hazel eyes were still full of sleep as she tried to brush her brown hair with her fingers. She splashed some water on her face and took the opportunity to use the bathroom. Who knows how long they had to go? Who knows if this was the last moment she would have to herself. Her thoughts were suddenly interrupted by Dean's voice again.

"Hurry up!" He banged on the door. She emerged slowly and he seemed to gaze at her once more. "Turn around." He ordered her. She did and he grabbed her arms behind her back. She could feel
Him tying her up again. When he was finished she turned around to face him. He had the cloth he had used to gag her in his pocket she glanced at it anxiously. He stared down at her and then suddenly turned around.
"Just come on." He said. She followed behind him to the car. He opened the door and gestured for her to get in. Sam was already in the passenger seat. She climbed in awkwardly and Dean shut the door behind her. He walked around the car and threw his door open. He glanced back at her once more before sitting down and pulling the door shut. The engine turned over and Emma felt a pit in her stomach. She closed her eyes and tried to imagine it was all a dream.
