While we're talking about the Genoa Family, some people have asked me if Tech played a part in Tears of the Kingdom (like, if I were to make a TotK Novelisation in the same timeline as the BotW Novelisation), would he travel with Link on his journey like last time?
I have written one shots exploring the possibility, but ultimately the answer is no.
In every one shot, Tech has had lots of jobs.
Zonai Survey Team - Head of Chasm Exploration: Tech is in charge of the chasm exploration. His job often involves him "not seeing the light of day for days on end," as he'd say.
Some things that Link and Tech may do together for this job may be exploring the Chasms together and the Depths. Tech loves learning new things, so of course he's explore the Depths, only, he'd probably keep getting sick thanks to the Gloom.
Lucky Clover Gazette - Intel Gatherer: Tech gathers intel for the Writers of the Lucky Clover Gazette. He'll make note of anything dangerous or suspicious (such as the Gleeok in the Colosseum) that Citizens of Hyrule should know about.
Delivering Aid and Support to the Troubling Villages - Regional Phenomena: Tech helps the Rito, Zora, Goron and Gerudo races with surviving during their Regional Phenomena. This could be things like delivering food to the Rito. Helping dirty Zora cleanse their scales. Helping with mining operations for the Goron. Helping lost travellers through the Sand Shroud and other things.
Helping Link with Various Tasks - Info and Tricks: Tech will help Link with info and fighting tricks.
Looking at the Geoglyphs - The Dragon Tears: Tech will help Link find various Geoglyphs in areas.
Helping Captain Hoz - The Lost Princess: Tech will help with the search for Princess Zelda.
