The Thing Everyone Fears

My heart pounded as my sight blurred, my mouth opened but no sound came out. I watched as they walked. My mind racing trying to find out what i did to make them mad.'Did, i not clean my room, or maybe i didn't do good in school. WHY? Why are they leaving me, i didn't do anything wrong,' my main thought raced.

I started to dash to them but the floor seemed to keep on moving as i was. They walked down the dark tunnel towards the light, leaving in the dark.

 'HELP!! PLEASE I'LL FIX WHAT EVER I DID WRONG, DON'T LEAVE ME!!' My pleas go unanswered as they continue to walk down the long road, walking a speed that caused me great pain. Salty water filled my eyes as they glazed over with tears, my hand stretched outward trying to reached my loved ones. They just keep walking one step in front of the other as if i wasn't even there.

My heart ached at the thought of them not loving me, what did i do wrong? Tears rushed down my face as i feel to my knees, my legs burning with tiredness. My bare knees scraped against the hard black road, but the pain didn't bother me. All i could see was my family walking away, leaving me.

As they neared the light my older brother glanced back, his face set in a frown as his now hazel dull eyes filled with hatred, the rest of my family walked into the light leaving me with him. As soon as they left he started to speak in a sickening tone.

"Because of you i was never loved as much, because of you i got in trouble, BECAUSE OF YOU I WAS THE BAD CHILD!!!!" his scream echoed around the black void never reaching its end. He slightly turned back to the light and walked away. Before he fully left into the light he turned his face side ways to give me a look of the side of his face.

"i wish you where never born," at that comment he started to walk away into the light completely leaving me in darkness, alone, unloved.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!" my scream bounced off the walls of my room as i sat up straight, my body slightly shaking with sobs as my cheeks turned red from all the tears. I glanced around the room  noticing all of my things where there, no darkness, just me and the room. A heavy sigh escaped my lips as i fell back into my soft bed, pulling the covers up to my nose.

'It was all just a dream, my family loves me and would never leave me. I'm just paranoid i need to stop being like that,' at the last thought i slipped into a dreamless state. Feeling the love of my family.
