Chapter 9:The Meeting

*Friday 16th September*

(Sin's POV)
I had my first mafia meeting tonight. I've been to many before, but this is the first time that I'm leading it on my own. It was with the Russian mafia. We were just going to be seeing if they were able to be trusted and if they were actually behind these attacks. As it would terminate our agreements and have consequences that aren't good for either side. For example, a mafia war. I don't really want a mafia war, but if needs be that is what will have to happen. I need to prove myself and show the mafia underworld that I am a dangerous leader that shouldn't be messed with. Just like my dad. We had all gotten home from school and Jenna, Shye and our new friend Roh were having a slumber party tonight. It was Shye's first one, so they are trying to make it super special for her. Jenna's planned everything down to the smallest detail. I can tell Shye's excited about it though. She'e been buzzing about it all week. I was thinking about Vincent and his new found interest in Shye. I liked Shye. I definitely liked her and now I was feeling the jealously a little. Jenna was right. Shye was a beautiful girl and she was bound to capture someone's eye. I couldn't give up that easily though. I'd fight for her, so after this meeting I would be focusing on confessing to Shye and taking her on the most romantic date that I can. I headed down to my father's office to get some files that I would need to look over before the meeting tonight.
(Shye's POV)
I was having my first slumber party and I was super excited. I've never really had any female friends before and now I did and it was an amazing feeling. Jenna had planned every minute of our slumber party together. I couldn't wait. My crush on Sin has multiplied about 10 times and now every little thing that he says directed at me makes me go all red. I keep getting all flustered and stuff. Jenna says that i just need to tell him, but I am way too awkward to do that besides he probably doesn't like me anyway. Jenna and Roh both say I'm oblivious, but I don't know. Maybe I'll tell him eventually, but no time soon that's for sure. Monday morning I'll  be having my meeting with the guidance advisor about where I see myself and what college I want to go to. I've been thinking about it for a while and I think I wanna go to Yale. Like my mama did. She always told me that I could follow my own path, my own footsteps, my own dream, but my dream is to be like my mama and make her proud of me in the heavens.
"Shye, Roh's here!" Jenna shouted up from downstairs, so I hopped off my bed and skipped downstairs.
