Chapter 18:Meet The Family

We were on a 2 week holiday from school and I was going to meet the rest of Jenna and Sin's family now. His grandparents, aunt, uncle and cousins. I was a little nervous. I had been going to therapy for the past 2 weeks. 3 days a week I go to therapy for 2 hours. My therapist is so kind. She doesn't force me to talk and she lets me write dwn my thoughts and feelings, so that I'm able to stay calm. She has taught me a lot of coping techniques and told me to try and find a creative or physical hobby to express myself in a healthy way. I decided to start art. I colour, draw, sketch, even paint sometimes. I also began baking and cooking more. I work out a lot more with Sin in the mornings and then I study, read, do some art and then bake in the afternoons. When I was baking some chocolate chip cookies today, Sin and Jenna came and told me about their family coming to visit. I was nervous to meet them, but they both reassured me how nice they were and that they would love me. Also Jake's cousin was coming down too. They were practically all family and were coming over to have a big dinner. You're probably wondering what happened at school. Well someone recorded the entire thing and posted it on their Snapchat and Instagram and of course it got back to the school. I was called into the office the first Monday I went back to discuss what I wanted to happen. The police were there as well just in case I wanted to press charges and I said I didn't. I had already ruined their lives enough. The police told me that it would always be on Brent and Avery's record regardless and that I could get a restraining order against them if I wished. Again I declined. That's because I'll probably never see my high school bully again. Brent's family business got caught out for money laundering and his father was sent to prison, so Brent is leaving the city and the state with his family because their reputation were ruined. Avery was getting sent to boarding school in Switzerland because of her behaviour and she was gone. Elena and Stella were still friends and both decided to transfer to a different private school together. As for the guy who tried to rape me, he's disappeared. Disappeared of the face of the Earth. His friends came to try and harass me about where he was "because he was with you when we last saw him". They called me names, knocked into me on purpose, tried to spread rumors. I was already in a bad headspace, so that didn't help, but I was surprised so many people stood up for me. Also I made 2 new friends. A girl called Kalani and her boyfriend August. they are both badass. She's the one who saw me get dragged off by that guy and told Sin. She also stood up for me and told everyone what actually happened. His friends backed off after that and suffered a lot of backlash for for what they had done. I know what happened to my assaulter. My soon to be mafia boss boyfriend happened and this time I wasn't going to stop him. I needed to be able to have some closure, so I let Sin do what he wanted. Whether he was dead or being tortured, I don't know and I don't care. It made me feel safe knowing that he couldn't get me again. Sin asked me more about my past and I told him everything. He asked me if I wanted him to get my dad and rapists and get rid of them, but I didn't care anymore. I told him to leave my dad because he ruins his own life and that if he could find my rapists he could do whatever he pleased and I saw the glint in his eyes when I said that. All he asked for was their names and then he left the subject alone. My bruises from the party had cleared up and Sin has made it his mission to make sure I feel special and worth something everyday, so he always makes time for me. Dates, gifts, time to cuddle. He always there for and I love that about him. Speaking of love, after me and Sin said that we loved each other we'd been been closer than ever. He even introduced me to some of his mafia as his woman. It gave me a lovely little shudder and feeling in my stomach. Today, Sin's "extended" family would be coming to the mansion for a big dinner and Sin would introduce me as his girlfriend. I was kinda nervous actually.
"You don't have to worry Shye, they're going to adore you. Trust me." he told me while I started getting ready this morning. Me and Sin have also become more comfortable around each other in regards to being shirtless and stuff around each other. I don't mind wearing my sleeping shorts around him, just sports bras or kinda revealing clothes and he doesn't mind being shirtless around me (and I sure as hell don't mind). I don't know if I mentioned, but I recently got a tattoo. I got a butterfly just under my boobs around my ribs to represent change and metamorphosis for me.
