18. Science Geek (Jared Cameron)

   "So you see, Rubidium is important." I said, closing up my little lecture to Jared about the lesser known element. When I turned to look at him, away from the periodic table photo on my phone, he was smiling fondly at me. "What?"
   "I love when you talk Science to me." He shrugged. "Even if I have no clue what you're saying."
   "B-but I just explained everything to you." I pointed out, blushing slightly. He nodded.
   "Did you know that you write the chemical symbols on your jeans with your finger when you say them?" He asked me. I glanced down at my hand, which was on my pant leg, and then back up at him.
   "No." I admitted, tucking my hand under my leg.
   "It's Cu Te." He joked, pulling my hand out and kissing the back of it.
   "That's Ni Ce." I replied, grinning. He rolled his eyes.
   "Oh for the love of Magnesium."
   "Jared!"
   "What?"
   "That's terrible."
   "That's what makes it funny."
   I didn't reply to that, trying to hide my grin.
   "What?"
   "It's wasn't that funny."
   "I thought it was."
   "It was Cu Te, though."
   "Jeez, Ali. That's my line!"
   "Love ya, darling!"
   "Uh huh."

(Author's Note: Cu stands for Copper, Te stands for Tellurium, Ni stands for Nickel, and Ce stands for Cerium. This was based on a pick-up line I read once and I thought it was really Cu Te. :P )
