Jacob was out and I was trapped.  His dark haired head was flopped back against the sofa cushion, and loud snores filled the now quiet room.  Surprisingly, though, his embrace on me didn't loosen one bit while he slept.  The movie was finally over, the credits had rolled past, and I was still trapped in the very warm arms of my werewolf.  I tipped my head back to try and get a glimpse of his face, but all I could see was his dark jawline.  I wiggled a little, testing to see if I could get free.  He snorted and his hold on me tightened.  I was very, very trapped.
   "Jake?  Jacob, wake up."
I shook his shoulder the best I could, making him grunt.  His head lolled a little, but the moment it stopped, the snores began again.
"Jake, wake up!  I've got to pee."
Trying to break his grip on me, I pushed my arms against his.  Naturally, he was a lot stronger than little old me.  Still, I got him to loosen his grip just enough that I could wiggle out from his grasp.  I slid out and landed on the floor in a very unladylike fashion, but I was free!  Scrambling to my feet, I turned and found Jacob blinking sleepily at me with a slight pout on his face.
   "Don't go," He mumbled.
"I've just got to use the bathroom, I'll be right back.  Though I probably ought to get home.  You need some rest, wolf boy."
He stretched largely, his shirt straining to show all of his finely sculpted muscles.  "I took a nap, I'm okay now."
I shook my head as I walked to the bathroom.  His voice told me otherwise.  He was still sleepy, and if I stayed, he'd just fall asleep again.  I knew I shouldn't mind, but I hated trying to stay awake and watch the time while he slept when all I wanted to do was fall asleep with him.  It was boring and not at all fun for me.  And it seemed to happen every time I came over anymore.
Once my bladder was relieved, I wandered back out to the living room to find him sitting upright.  He gave me a toothy smile, obviously trying to convince me that he was wide awake and ready to hang out.  I grinned back, shaking my head again.
"You ought to go to bed," I pointed out.  "You have to patrol again tomorrow."
"But I want to spend time with you," He insisted.
"That's what the movie was for."
I walked back over to the couch and gently tapped his nose with my index finger.  He wrinkled his nose in response.  Before I could think, his arms shot out and wrapped around my legs, pulling me down onto him on the couch.  I let out a laugh as I found myself sprawled across his lap.  He chuckled with me, nuzzling his face into my neck.
"I fell asleep during the movie again, didn't I?"
"Well, since the movie is no longer on and it's almost ten thirty?"
"I'm sorry," He sighed.  "I hate always being tired."
"It's a guy thing, don't worry about it."
"That's not an excuse.  No guy should fall asleep during quality time.  It's rude."
   "It's human."
"Well, I'm not exactly a human."
He pulled back to wiggle his eyebrows at me and I laughed loudly again.
"Admit it or not, you're pretty human, Jake."
"I think that's the first time you've called me pretty!"
"Wha- oh, shut up." Why did he have to make me laugh so much?  Billy had to think we were nuts.
"But seriously, don't go.  I feel bad." He gave me his best puppy dog eyes, which were actually pretty good.
"Well, what about if I'm getting tired?" I crossed my arms and tried to look stubborn.
"I could always keep you awake with a tickle fight," He began, holding up a hand to silence me when I started to protest.  "Or you could stay the night."
That made me think for a moment.  "That's not possible."
   "Why not?"
"You have a twin mattress that you don't even fit on anymore, and I'm not sleeping on your couch."
   "We'll sleep on the floor."
   I snorted.  "That sounds comfy."
"It's actually not that bad.  I have a couple of thick comforters, an extra pillow, and you already know that I'm comfy." He flashed that grin I loved again and I had to purse my lips to keep from smiling.
"I'm wearing jeans," I objected lamely.
"So throw on one of my t-shirts, it'll be like a nightgown on you.  Please?"
"You want me to trust you around me without pants on?"
He gave me an unimpressed look.  "You really think I'd try anything?  You're my imprint.  As much as I want you, I'm not going to push and make you mad at me.  I can't risk losing you."
My heart stammered at that.  The whole wolf imprint thing was actually kind of nice that way, I admitted silently.  Gazing into his dark eyes, I realized that I'd just regret it if I left.  There was nothing waiting at home for me, anyway.  With an exaggerated sigh, I wrapped my arms around his neck and brought his lips down to mine for a kiss.  He kissed me gently, savoring each movement our lips made.  Before I was ready, he pulled away.
   "Is that a yes?"
I nodded.  "Only because you said please."
His face burst into a full fledge happy smile and he scooped me into his arms as he stood up.  "You're the best, Maddie."
"You just remember that when I wake you up at seven so I can get to work on time," I teased.
"Mmm, imagine waking up to your kisses." The dreamy look in his eyes made my heart stutter again.
"I don't think kisses are going to wake you up.  I don't think a freight train would wake you up."
   "Oh, you be nice, you!"
It took both of us to clear enough space on the floor for us to sleep comfortably.  He grabbed three thick comforters from the hallway closet and we spread them as far as we could.  Two pillows and a very thin blanket were tossed on top of it.  I hugged him as we looked down at our makeshift bed, and he wrapped an arm around me in return.
"Ready for bed?" He asked huskily.
I squirmed out of his grasp, butterflies filling my stomach from his wording.  Playfully, I flopped onto the floor and pulled the thin blanket over my head, hiding from him.  His low chuckle sounded and a moment later his large body sank onto the blankets next to me.  He ducked under the blanket and I glared half heartedly at him.
   "I love you," He whispered.
   "I love you, too, Jake."
