Saturday 9:00pm"How was it?" Ney calls out as I open my bedroom door.
"It was nice."
"You're going to have to give us more than that." Anya says.
"What were you all talking about?"
"We were talking about Fredrick but now we can talk about Jules and Pasta," says Mini quickly.
"Yes, that is an important issue to discuss," Debbie adds.
"Even I must agree that it has become a disaster." Anya allows.
"Are we safe to talk about them?" Ney asks cautiously.
"Yeah we're good. Jules told me that she would be here a little after 9:30 because her mom wants to talk to her." I reply.
"It would be so much smoother for her if her mom knew there was a boy very interested in dating her daughter." Debbie mentions.
"Well, let's not waste our precious time talking about Jules and her mother. We have to make a plan to help Pasta and Jules." Ney says urgently as she walks out of the bathroom and I go in.
"What can we do?" Anya asks.
"I have been thinking about that and I think we should have a party."
"We will only tell Pasta and Jules after they have said yes and we have a plan of how to get them together." Mini claims.
"Alright and we have to keep the motive from Fredrick since he cannot keep a secret." Ney says.
"Of course." Debbie says.
"How about we send them out for the soda?" Mini offers.
"No because neither will realize and it will just be a trip to the store." Debbie replies.
"What kind of party is it going to be?" I ask.
"Well, we have wanted to have a costume party." Ney says.
"Works for me. It can show Cole another side of Riley." Debbie winks as she says that.
"Ok Debbie, we can make Cole jokes or we can plan the joining of two of our best friends. Which is more effective to you?" I scold her.
"Alright we will plan the party." Ney pouts.
"What if we assign them matching outfits? Will they get it then?" Debbie asks.
"No because then they will just find it awkward and avoid each other all night. On top of that, they will be mad at us." Anya says wisely.
"Well, then what are we going to do?"
I can tell Mini is starting to get frustrated. She hates having an important problem that she has no idea how to solve.
Anya looks over at me and I nod. She shakes her head when she realizes what I am thinking. Seems she thinks it is too dangerous.
"It is all we can do." I say desperately.
"What is?" Ney asks.
"But don't you think they will be really mad?" Anya asks.
"No. They will thank us for taking charge of their relationship. In the off chance they don't get together they will think it was an accident."
"They are having a private conversation that will end in brilliance." Debbie tells Ney.
"If you say so. You do know better." Anya states.
"Do you want to tell them or should I?"
"I can do it."
